This series is Hella /m/.
Maybe not as /m/ as Star Wars, but still.

I've always wondered about that Mekanek guy. Was he a cyborg?

So, nanomachines sonAlso, the reboot was fantastic. Should have lasted longer than it did.
Story time!
I had a bunch of these books as a kid.
So is Zoar the Sorceress' name, then?
It's interesting that in all these books Teela is drawn like her toy, not as she appeared in the cartoon.

He's the one guy who's useless 99 percent of the time except for the one throwaway episode about him feeling useless and then the plot is written in just such a way that his useless gimmick is for once useful in that exact situation and then he goes back to being useless for the remainder of the series

That's the majority of characters really.
I forgot Stratos makes an appearance here.
Oh yeah, this is a hentai doujin as well.
I remember this page clearly.
Very clearly.

Orko is feeling useless and his useless gimmick is for once useful in this exact situation
I love Mer-Man's face here, and in the previous page.
The true hero saves the damsel.
And everyone laughs at Orko. THE END.

He and Buzz Off got their own buddy team up episode once if I remember correctly.
They helped He-Man kick Webstor and Kobra Khan's asses.
It was always interesting in what He-Man was supposed to be versus what it actually became. The original toy and comic line was basically Conan the Barbarian. Teela wasn't the Captain of the Guard, nor was Man At Arms her father, and there was no Sorceress. Teela was the Serpent Goddess, which was basically again somewhat similar to Thulsa Doom from Conan. King Randor, Queen Marlena, and Orko didn't even exist. The whole storyline about Marlena being an astronaut from Earth was added in the tv show.
I really think the television version expanded the storyline in significant ways.
A shame they didn't wait for maximum nostalgia to kick in before doing the early 2000s series. If they'd released it as a Netflix original like Voltron it would have been fantastic.
Shuki Levy's music in MOTU and She-Ra are really memorable, as is most of his music. Got really good in the second season around the time of Secret of the Sword.
