They get to the digital world. File Island is now inhabited almost exclusively either by Babys, Rookies, or Dark Masters/Royal Knights on a rampage.

Also Gennai is evil now. And he commands the Dark Masters. Five of the Tamers' Digimon go Ultimate/Mega and kill Machinedramon and Metalseadramon. Only Gatomon/Tailmon has yet to reach her Ultimate/Mega form now.

1 wasn't even that bad but 2 was really rough. I whole heartedly agree with your order of the movies. Confession is still the best of the movies so far but this was great, the only thing that stuck out and hurt it was the literal slide show they had for 20 seconds. I really wish Tri was just a series rather than this movie format because something like that would have been a lot better if given more time. The plot is getting really interesting though, I wonder if this Yggdrasil can compare to the one in savers.

Power Levels may be bullshit but you need them to maintain a suspension of disbelief. It keeps the escalation of conflicts easy to understand and stops you from doubting the story.

That's what Adventure and Tamers both did correctly. 02 did it poorly, Frontier did it poorly, Savers went too fast too quick but did it better than those 2, Xros Wars and Time Hunters did it poorly and Applimon is actually doing an okay job right now with it.

You can't have stuff like Sora getting slammed by Mugendramon and expect people to take it when back in the original series Mugendramon slammed his claw down and nuked a horde of Numemon with minimal effort.

Can you really blame it on toy sales when they didn't even try? Blitzmon was the only other Hybrid featured in the figure line, no one else got their D-Scanners released besides Takuya, Kouji and Kouichi's, and the purified Darkness hybrids were released so late in the game they hardly mattered.

I would disagree entirely. Appmon has been playing it too safe and despite being a third of the way through still has a lot of filler in it. The characters are kinda flat and more so are quirky rather than characters.

It's not bad but it's nothing too interesting. It's starting to step up but I think Tri is more engaging, but that's just my opinion.

The thing with Appmon is that it's adhering to the original Adventures level escalation formula hard right now
