I've only seen the first few moves the power type gets because I'm trying to not spoil myself this time around but I think the smoothness of the animation not being good kind of works out. They are two exceptions though, like the dual guns and the laser canister which should be much more fluid.

Game feels pretty good. The story is nice so far and it actually got me laughing quite a few times already. (Shinn's line when pops up in the CA base, "Athrun, did you call me to help you deal with these horrible women?", had me laughing for quite a while)

I had seen videos of the FMP animations in previous games (didn't play them, no Vita/PS3) and thought they were pretty bad, and since I really like FMP I wasn't looking forward to that part of this game. They don't bother me as much, however, and I find myself not getting bothered by pretty much any animations at all (I haven't used all units yet, however, like Daitarn and Zambot - and those looked bad in the PVs).

While I appreciate it being different (or was it in some other game?) The TacP system and purchasing skills got me a bit overwhelmed at first, so I dunno about that.

Overall, I really like the game. Having tons of fun with it.

Her behaviour is all over the place, and the same goes for the other girls. I took the CA route, and all they do is bitch and complain. Even when Sumeragi buys their services from Arzenal and then adopts a salary system, they still hate each other because Ange gets all the bonuses. Eventually though the Paramail captain (keep forgetting her name) wises up and starts ordering the team around proper on the last stage of that split, and since then they've been compliant with each other and the rest of the team.

On a side note for that route split, some of the interactions between the 00 and SEED boys were cool, hearing about how Setsuna was Shinns rival and such, and how Shinn thinks Athrun only called him down to see his new 'harem' and inflate his ego.

Shinn still has deep resentment for Kira though, so theres unspoken animosity between them in this.
