Daily reminder that it's pretty obvious now the way this is going to end.

Mika is going to fuck Atra off-screen while attached to Barbatos before he eventually dies once the series reach the end.
And because Mika was plugged into Barbatos while fucking Atra, their kid will have a natural compatibility with piloting a Gundam without needing the Allah-Vagina system.
Then on the final episode they will show us a time-skip where Atra is all grown up and we will see Hush training a young kid that just happens to look a lot like Mika, to insure that Tekkadan lives on should anything come to disturb these now peaceful days.

This is so cheesy that I am putting my hands in fire that it will happen.
It's the typical Okada shit, down to the very last line of father figures and passing the values over to the new generation.

Is it good or bad?

In case you aren't aware, Bael and Barbatos are sister units and the only two Gundams to have been built by Agnika's father. All the other Frames were built by Agnika himself.

Hence it's also pretty obvious that Bael is getting destroyed in a extremely anti-climatic way because the entire legend was nothing but a ruse.

Barbatos is the one who actually holds Agnika's soul and Choco was too much of a fool to have realized this.

This would be the only thing that would actually shock me. The other two are standard romantic melodrama tragedy shit. Also, I always thought Chad and Dante were the most expendable Tekkadan members but you could still kill both while giving a "big hit" feel to Tekkadan, so I think they will be killed regardless of whichever option it is.

Keep in mind if Hotarubi is hit there can still be time to evacuate some of it, but take out plenty of members as well.

Going by the previews Shino and Yamagi are the only ones with a bit of individual focus outside of battle so it's pretty obvious who's getting killed off next. Hotarubi getting nuked seems like a big hit, but it conveniently omits all of the characters people give two shits about so all in all is still a cop out. Just look at Shino's face in that previev pic, that's a "I know I don't have much to live" face. He's also getting his fucked up arm tied to the control handle.

It isn't much of a cop out when you think about the fact that it's most of Tekkadan. regardless, it already makes it a Pyrrhic victory (if they win) far more than losing only Shino would. And like I said, it would be the only actually shocking choice.

Shino dying is very expected, so I won't be surprised if it happens. It definitely looks like something will go down with him this episode, but what is so suicidal about tying his arm to the control handle? Regardless of what happens he's stuck in that MS until it docks and if his hand is tied to the control handle or not it's either RyuseiGo gets destroyed or it doesn't. His arm being tied isn't any different than him being hooked in by AV. Plus, I'm pretty sure that while Yamagi is doing it, he will stop and suggest that he rides with Shino to help him with the controls instead.

Tying his arm to the controls means he will only be able to fire the cannon, he won't be able to do any maneuvering. Going into the field with his left side practically disabled seems pretty desperate. Either that or it is a mission for the purpose of shooting something down. And given that he will be left defenseless after the ammo runs out and that there will shitton of enemy fire flying around, it does look pretty suicidal unless he has a way to retreat.

It's pretty much your typical shonen show, well, except for one thing. I think the one thing that makes IBO stand out is it can really make one question the nature of the genre. Like, all the tropes are there man but they're sometimes played in this unsettling way. S2 is Tekkadan winning battles, but their own stupidity is costing them the power and status they've built up since then. Every arc up until Bael has Tekkadan losing something along the way, and now they're stuck helping Choco take over the world because it's their only hope of having a happy ending.
