Who would win?
The European Longsword

Daitarn sits on the other two. Dead.
The real question is who would win, Voltes or Combattler? The answer is Daimos.
Blue and red with white and yellow accents was such a common color scheme in the 70s. It feels like every mecha created during that decade was painted that way.

Reideen sings the other two to death
>>15241061
Dude Daitarn is literally 120 meters tall and the other guys don't break the 60s. It could kick them to death with its big spiky boots.

Daltanius sits off to the side, glad that it is the least remembered of the bunch, and throws two suns worth of energy at the winner, taking the crown.
>>15241061
Daimos
>>15241716
Then Trider, seen as just the kid of the bunch, kanchous Daltanius while it isn't looking before going for the kill.

Turn A Moonlight Butterfly
What do these three have in common, besides being the first non-big-3 series to appear in SRW?
Aside from the fact that Daitarn could defeat them due to sheer size, his show also kinda ran on pure bullshittium at times since it was partially a comedy.

This was between the Robot Romances and Raideen. Daitarn stomps all of the Sunrise Super Robots easily, even if Zambot, Daiohja, and Trider all were working together Banjo could probably win. (See also that time Daitarn was piloted by Reika and Beauty, who both didn't know what they were doing and were trying to actively sabotage each other, and took out like twelve Megaborgs.)

Don't forget about Garrison, who piloted it once and wasn't shabby at it at all, as well.

You said it
>>15244146
>Voltes
>first 3 series
HAHAHAHAHAHA Daimos got in before it.
The first three were Daitarn, Combattler, and RAIDEEN. Then Goshogun and Dunbine. Then Zambot, Daimos, L-Gaim, and Dancouga. Only after all of those did Voltes V get in, alongside Gaiking, Layzner, and Trider G7.

Someone should really compile a table of all mecha dimensions from the 70s to the '10s just to see what the trends are. My guess is that they shrink all the way until the mid 90s and then pick up again, but we'll see.
talk about 'mobile suit miniaturization', huh?

There was a man, a brave and wonderful man who we called Sizeanon, who compiled charts for the 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s that had almost everything (not everything, it's missing a notable number of things). He was working on one for the 70s when he vanished. But his works remain.
>>15245863
Fuck, that thing from Ryvius was that goddamn big?
>>15245863
Please post the 80s', 00s' and 10s' one too
>>15246153
Sure!
>>15245898
I guess so.
And here's some random size thing, I dunno.
>>15246171
What's the taller one on the top row? With the really shitty early CG?
>>15246179
That's Gladion, the main robot from Webdiver.
I'm... not 100% sure if that's the accurate size for it (I know that page isn't totally accurate, Bellcross was a lot smaller than that) but the problem is it only ever shows up in the form of data so getting accurate sizes on it is literally impossible.Well I mean technically it does temporarily take on a real form, but it's still impossible to know how big it was and it was in the form of a human at the time so god even knows.
The shitty CG, though, that's very much accurate. Webdiver is one of the least pretty /m/ shows around, even I had to build a tolerance to it for a week or two before I stopped getting a headache from watching it and I usually don't give two shits about animation.

Isn't God Gravion like about 50 meters?

I never heard of the man but through lurking and serendipity I've already somehow accumulated all of the images. They're great.
