Look at Ein, he was the most average guy and then he got the same triple AV as Mika and he was tearing everybody's asshole and dancing around like a big robot Muhammad Ali.

I still don't understand how this system actually works and what's exactly going on with Ein's brain, but assuming he's in such condition that it will run forever and will not age/expire, then what then? Gealio had his suit refitted with the system to fight McGillis and Mika but did he think what was going to happen with it after he's done? Unfortunately, The current fans of Mecha (90% of them are American children) prefer these kinds of shit characters (idols, bishounens, lesbians, shotas, traps, non-pilots, non-action characters, yuri girls, high school girls, Moeblobs, Genki girls and/or shoujo) focused on bullshit (drama, fujo, yuri, music, waifu pandering, yaoi, high school drama, teenage drama, SoL and/or Slice of life) and little or no mecha action.
They watch Mecha for drama, fujo, yuri, music, waifu pandering, yaoi, SoL, Slice of life, high school drama, teenage drama, shoujo, idols, bishounens, Moeblobs, shotas, waifus, lesbians,bishounens, shotas, traps, non-pilots, non-action characters, yuri girls, high school girls, Moeblobs, Genki girls, shoujo and other shit.

The mecha fandom is literally dying thanks to these new mecha fans.

It might seem cool on paper but in times of peace you don't really have a lot of life options. Only "heavy" labour and sitting in a hangar. You're also completely dependant on your handlers for maintenance and can only hope they don't deem you unprofitable and scrap you. Your engine disrupts communication so you're never allowed any urban areas. Your frame is susceptible to rusting so you're never allowed in see water, no aquatic exploration. You're too big to pet animals or even be around them not to stomp them. You can't eat, can't have sex, 80% of your life is probably going to be sitting in the hangar in sleep mode. You only "live" during sortie, so life for you is pretty much just battle.

It's that very contradiction I find interesting. Gaelio didn't approve of many things Ein wanted but he still gave them to him out of guilt and fondness.
When Gaelio chose to give Ein the Alaya Vijnana, he also chose to grant the later's wishes regardless of his opinion on the matter. And that pretty much defines their whole relationship since then. Gaelio is merely standing by that choice. What makes it even better is that he was manipulated into making it against everything he stood for by Choco, but he still stands by it.
