From macrossfag perspective, I would choose grunts of UC era. Yes, Unicorn helped with it's mecha pornography but it still has designs that makes sense in their own setting. IBO, for the same reasons and fact that its Gundams aren't:
1. brightly colored
2. very gundamish. I mean, look at Gusion in any incarnation. Also, maces.

They really feel more sleek and clean from a design perspective than other series (I guess AGE was sleek too but in a more simplified way).

To be honest, I always really liked AGE's designs. The story is only so-so, I fully admit, but the mechanical designs, especially the Vagan ones, are excellent.

I like the Gundam designs because the way that new Gundams are formed while still using the basic skeleton of the piston waist is pretty cool even if it is because artists are lazy. But all the other mobile suits, even grazes, don't appeal to me as much.
I like really gritty mecha aesthetic like OYW MS like Zaku's or GMs, and also the almost super robot ones like 00.

I like Exia's design mainly because it's somewhat simplistic, like the original gundam from UC 0079, only it's main focus is melee, close range combat instead of ranged combat.

Honestly I like pretty much every Gundam series' style.

But 0083 is probably my favorite. I love its original designs, I love its redesigns.

Dra-C, Xamel, GP02, Gerbera Tetra, GM C, the Zaku II F2's.

Second would probably be Gundam X and then Victory.

It's majestic. I love the way the dragon fangs make the arms look enormously powerful and chilling. And the dark green is rarely used on Gundams. Not to mention how sleek as fuck the legs and feet are.

Loved Strike/Freedom/Strike Freedom to death since i grew up watching those on the TV screen.
Don't really care about the other suits from SEED.

I hated Turn A and RX-78 at first but they kinda grew on me after finishing their series.

00 on the other hand is pure sex, Kyrios/Arios left a really great impression on me.

I love the classic UC designs, but I think 0080 really nailed the looks of the mechs as far as the classic designs go.

The Alex is the sexiest "classic" Gundam by far, the Kampfer is pure sex, the 0080 GM's are the best GM's there's ever been including the GM Sniper II, 0080 is simply the best for classic UC Designs.

For modern or re-imagined UC, Unicorn has some drop dead gorgeous designs

I haven't seen any of the recent shows to give a good opinion on them, but I kinda like some of the IBO suits that I've seen.
