My theory is that after Gaelio lost, his Kimaris was recovered after the Edmonton incident and was then overhauled into opening theme's Kimaris later in s2 whereas the Vidar was probably constructed based on Rustal's Gundam Frame which explains why Rustal do not have a Gundam himself.

He's basically the embodiment of Gjallarhorn as a whole. He tolerates the bad apples within Gjallarhorn (Iok), instigated a border conflict to take down a political rival, etc. He's part of the old generation of Gjallarhorn who were perfectly willing to ignore Gjallarhorn's own rules if it suits his needs, all in securing more personal power and keeping Gjallarhorn afloat. He's not a huge evil villain the way Gihren was but he's by no means innocent. He only seems more reasonable than McGillis because of Chocoman's childish ambitions and that replacing the old order with a new one always comes with bloodshed. Bandai seems intent on ignoring the MG line with IBO, instead having its 1/100th line. Better than 1/100 lines of the past, with a decent inner frame, but still lacking in the detail and parts separating of an MG.

There's also the High-Resolution line, which had a pre-built inner frame, some metallic parts, extra finished armor, and superior parts separation. Still lacked in some of the fine details of MGs, but still very nice.
Though they only ever made a Barbatos 4th and 6th form for it.

Personally would love to see some MG IBOs down the line, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards. Hell, I'm still hoping we get some non-Setsuna MG 00 Gundams.

Seeing this line up on the main G-Tekketsu site makes me really appreciate how different each Gundam design is from one another.

When you look back at Wing, G and SEED they usually seemed very vaguely similar to one another or at least bland enough not to be as distinct as these have been. And yet they all share the same inner frame.

Have to hand it to the mechanical artists for their outer designs. This series has been a treat at least in that respect.
