So Vidar is now using the exact same technology as Barbatos, but Mika/Barbatos has a lot more combat experience. Is Ein just that much better a pilot than Mika? And Bael seems to have the same technology arrangement. So that's literally 2 against 1. GH probably had better surguries that helped with older patients and not screw them over as hard. Plus "apparently" Ein's procedure allowed for better research on how to perfect it more. For all we know, Ein could've had it done fine if not for his crushed organs.
Main issue was problem of limiters like Mika for using full power without permament hookup/Vegetable/crippling. Type-E seems to circumvent this. Who knows for McGilis.

More interestingly, Gaelio has harnessed Ein's brain in order to fight equally with Alaya-Vijnana fighters. I don't entirely understand the magical reasoning behind this. If Gundam Bael contains the founder of Gjallarhorn and Gundam Vidar contains Ein, does Gundam Barbatos contain someone as well? Is it the brain of a fighter from the Calamity War who helps Mikazuki get even stronger? It's clear that there's a lot more to know about Alaya-Vijnana than we've been told. Either way, Gaelio and McGillis's sudden power-ups make Mikazuki's Lupus Rex, the strongest Gundam we've seen until now, sort of a third wheel in this upcoming battle.

This story now echoes that of Char and Garma in Mobile Suit Gundam. Char, the blonde orphan who's been forced to live by his wits since childhood, and Garma, his spoiled, purple-haired patrician friend, are reflected perfectly in McGillis and Gaelio. However, Garma died weak and naive, only coming to terms with his friend's betrayal minutes before his death. This feels like an alternate universe epilogue to that story, what might have happened if Garma had survived and trained until he was on equal footing in combat with Char. It's one of the oldest stories in the Gundam canon made new again, and the resulting battle promises to be epic.

You can see from the profile pretty clearly that it has a tiny face like kimaris. The 'crest' is the pointy shit on both it and trooper's heads. They're meant to look like regal horse manes, again the equus motif. Yellow eyes in any normal context means nothing but coupled with the other similarities it's not some kind of stretch. As for the color although the lighting is dark it's definitely on the spectrum in line with kimaris' color scheme. Then we can go a little deeper and go back to Gali purging the Vidar persona for good. Vidar is a god associated with revenge. Gali found the answers he needed, confronted his emotions, and decided it was more important to fulfill his duties. It's only appropriate that Gali pilots a mech that's either an upgrade or homage to kimaris. It would further cement his growth symbolically.
