What order do I watch Gundam in ?

0079 -> Zeta -> ZZ -> CCA -> Unicorn are the ones that order most matters for, so watch them in that order. UC sidestories (08th MS Team, 0080, 0083) can be watched whenever after the original.

The non-UC stuff can mostly be watched whenever as well. Turn A and G-Reco are better if you've watched the series that came before them, but that's not strictly necessary.

After getting back into Gundam from when I was a kid, I watched it in the following order:

>Original Mobile Suit Gundam
First series, got everyone else hooked. Prepare for some really clunky animation. Characters are hit-or-miss, but that is a constant for every Gundam Series.
>Zeta Gundam
Direct sequel, arguably one of the best Gundam series. Animation quality is immensely better. Kamille is a pretty cool character, if autistic as fuck.
>Gundam ZZ
Not necessary to watch. Also, if you don't like it Subbed, you will find that the only english dub is a shitty Malaysian dub and only a few episodes are available to watch online.
>Char's Counter Attack
The events of Gundam ZZ have no baring on this, making ZZ even less necessary to watch. I personally love it, but I can see why a lot of /m/ hates it.
>Gundam Wing
The one that everyone watched. Awkward as fuck and full of 90's cheese, but still satisfyingly dumb enough to keep your attention. (Also, the first episode has enough WTF moments to get you thoroughly hooked as to how more batshit insane it's going to get. Strap in.)
>G Gundam
If you liked Gundam Wing's insanity, you are going to love this, it cranks the insanity switch into overdrive with insane Gundam designs
>Gundam SEED
Remake of the original Gundam and Zeta Gundam, but with most of the likable older soldiers replaced by awkward Tweens and a lot of the worst anime tropes from the mid 00's thrown in for good measure. Get ready for lots of shouting.

Everything I just said, except with it being a remake of Zeta & ZZ

It's fun. But i'd liken it to a watered-down Gundam Wing. (That being said, Lockon is still my favourite Gundam pilot ever.)

After that, I started watching them as I found them, but that's a nice mix of Gundam series to get you started.
