How come we never talk about the lava-scuba-diving episode?

Could mobile suits survive in such environments?

I highly doubt it, whenever I think about a normal mobile suit going even underwater I think about that Futurama gag about a spaceship only being able to handle 1 atmosphere.
Considering how the majority of mobile suits aren't even able to make an unassisted re-entry, along with the requirements to go underwater and function properly, the combined threats of super-high heat and super-high pressure would probably mean they can't handle it.

>It's a space ship so anywhere between one and zero
Oh man that slayed me, I have to rewatch it
>Sandalphon's embryo looks human
>turns into an anomalocaris thing
Fucking angels, mang.

The wing boys were trying to fly the EW Gundams into the sun because apparently nothing else could destroy them completely.

It can m8, but without proper underwater equipments you'll be constantly leak throught your pilot's hatch.
but al so not as far and as effective as proper aquatic MS
>>15188127
no, they can be destroyed other ways, they just wanted to send them off on some kind of dumb viking funeral. they even had stupid coffins for them
at the end of endless waltz, they just went "fuck it" and blew them up using the built-in self-destruct systems.

>It can m8, but without proper underwater equipments you'll be constantly leak throught your pilot's hatch.
Why would a piece of equipment airtight enough to be used in vacuum have issues with water leaks?
>>15188596
The seals are dependent on internal cockpit pressure being higher than ambient pressure?
>>15188493
The self destruct system that failed to destroy the Gundams in the TV series?

Hence, Frozen Teardrop

The second quarter is the most fun the show is.
It's genuinely fantastic at that part.
Every character feels alive and endearing.
>But that's not the point
It was necessary if they wanted us ever to like any of them.

For the same reason that a car that can cross 100 miles in an hour on land goes about 10 feet into a lake before stopping. These are not the conditions it was designed for.
