Still playing through the post game and jesus, the grind is real but so fucking fun. I'm just

I hated that battles were either Skell-only or Skell-to-Win. Their should've been more enemies that required switching between Skell and On Foot, but there's basically 0 point in not using the Skell unless you're going into a building.

Balance isn't the issue so much as the designers going, "You know what would really kick this game into high gear? Removing half of the mechanics and making every attack have a cooldown of 30 seconds or more."

Thanks designers. Sitting there swapping between ranged and melee weapons while waiting for my cooldowns really was my favorite part of combat, after all.

Another issue is how weak they feel.

Somehow throwing a grenade almost the size of a person or punching with my giant robot hands somehow has less impact than going crazy with my sword on foot.

Some particles effects, explosions or mild shaking would've helped.

Still upset the next game won't have pilotable robots though. I understand X was its on thing, but it's still a shame.

I feel the opposite, being on ground is boring but effective, its more fun to be in a skell and strategize than be on ground and spam OD until the enemy is blended up like a smoothie.

Anyone else get their shit wrecked by Barnabas during Phog's recruitment mission?

I'm at this point where it's clear I need to learn the mechanics of the game better.

I get my shit stomped by flying fish of all varieties - I'm only level 57 cuz I don't know where to grind - and am using the level 50 Lailah or Mastema.

I have some questions.
>Where should I grind?
>What Skell should I focus on?
>What Skell weapons are good?
>What the hell are F-Waves for?
>What class and arts should I shoot for?

I could solo the Vita on foot with Takedown Shot and Assault Hammer and the Unbreakable Sword, but now the game is over and I'm just lost.
