You're getting that scene wrong. There's no way Rei could have brought Taiga to the fight. As winner of the Sabak, he was allowed to see one dead person, and he choose Taiga over Shizuka or Douji. The winner of the Sabak sees the person in a special chamber and can stay with them in there for how long a magical candle lasts (this is from Youseki no Wana, and sounds pretty similar to Amon/Rin spell in Beast of the Midnight Sun). After that Rei went to pay his respects to the Bokujin and he encounters Kouga there. They start the duel and Rei starts attacking Kouga using some Taiga's techniques like the wind blow. Taiga's spirit arriving to the fight is merely a metaphor for Kouga noticing that Rei had met Taiga after winning the Sabak. Rei asking to Kouga if he can win after both of them also means if he can win against Rei now that he's also received Taiga's teachings. Rei chosing Taiga over Shizuka and Douji probably means that he acknowledges Taiga as a critical factor behind Kouga's strength so he also wanted a share of that in order to become closer or maybe surpass Kouga.

Edel when he's donning his armor. His most distinct features are his dragon-like horns and scales. By inserting a dragon's fang inside his body, its malevolence turns into the armor. It's a double-edged sword which covers him with horrendous malevolence in exchange for attaining a power that greatly surpasses that of a common Makai Knight.

GomenRider subs are literally the same subs as TVN but with corrections to some evident errors (GR are no translators so they couldn't spot all the mistakes TVN made) and better typesetting as you said yourself. The only reason you could have to prefer TVN over GR is if you actually liked the typesetting or honorifics.

Assuming it’s not a sequel to either of the first two, any guesses about the time period of the next anime? I’ve heard ideas for both the pirate age and a cyberpunk future discussed here, both of which sound awesome, though the former sounds unlikely. We might have a chance for cyberpunk given that the ‘GitS’ movie might boost interest in that kind of thing and they seem to have dropped all futuristic elements from the Ryūga period. If not cyberpunk, my guess is either Gothic Victorian England, or a truly ancient setting, either in India or some generic Western fantasy Mediterranean.

I got Kiba and while the grips are slightly too large to tightly hold the sword, the axe being metal makes the arm joints weaker when I use it.
The hands are flexible enough to get around the weapons' pommels at least, though it really would be less worrying if the weapons could split somewhere like the ones from the recent Garo and Zero.

I give you MAKAISENKI and Honoo no Kokuin, but I'd say Makai no Hana is relatively weak compared to those others, although I also like it a lot. I personally prefer YamiTera over Makai no Hana, but I rank them about the same because each one has its issues and opinions are pretty divided for both.

That's fair. I think the main thing I dig about Hana is how brilliant the effects work is, its by far my favourite season in terms of raw visuals. I love the episodic stories too, some of the series best. The main thing that hurt it for me was the lack of any good villains or a halfway decent over arching plot but the rest of the show made up for it

Hard to believe we're already past the halfway point. I've liked it a lot for the most part but I have a few problems.

First being that the CG usage has been a bit rampant. Not so much on the normal horrors, but the 2 fights with Edel so far relied on it way too much
Second main thing is just that Alice REALLY needs some acting lessons, real bad.
