Can anyone tell me the reason why did IBO all but dropp these two (and Yamagi too I s'pose) from the plot/character developement/narrative/whatever?

I mean, so it did with Kudelia, but Kudelia can be explained by the fact that she stepped down from her political movement and became irrelevant at her own request, it kind of goes along her character.

But these guys? They're still in it, they get merch of them made, their VA are constantly required to host promo events or give interviews yet their characters are all but forgotten and their character arcs dropped? What's up with that, what is going on in here?

Shino has been developed, but it's the constrained kind of development due to his avoidant issues. He's learning to lead by being a unit leader, comfortably at his own pace more, but it doesn't make for much fun outside of him shouting attack names in Flauros and naming people's mobile suits.

As for Eugene, he had some of my favorite moments in season 1 ,actually, and for not being a gundam pilot, I thought he stood out in a lot of fun ways. Season 2 he's barely been an entity and hasn't been allowed to do anything, weird for a second in command. I can't think of one moment I cared about his scenes as opposed to in S1 where I thought a lot of his scenes were fun. He's just a nobody now.

Yamagi is unique in the fact that he's a very obviously gay character in Gundam that is not that way due to sexual abuse or is not evil or overly flamboyant. There's no way Gali is waiting to see if Choco will do the right thing.

McGillis idea of "exposing corruption" was shitting on the Martian Gjallahorn for trying to stop a rebel uprising, pushing Carta who is of higher class then him into a battle she can't win, and pushing Ein into the Eins Graze.
