It just says Ken Ishikawa in the tags, it also doesn't list the actual creator of this Hideaki Nishikawa. Yes Ishikawa created Getter but don't stick his name on this crap that he had no involvement with, the guy was dead by the time this was made. This is like the reverse ANN/MAL problem where they always keep Ishikawa's name off or underplay his stance as creator and then credit Nagai as the sole/main creator.

DARKNESS isn't the sequel to DASH.

It IS DASH: the magazine DASH was on closed before DASH got a volume, and the story was continued as DARKNESS in another magazine.

The first volume of DARKNESS is just the chapters of DASH.

Getter Robo Dash was published in a volume called Getter Robo DARKNESS Shido-hen (shown in picture). That was then followed by DARKNESS Volume 1, 2, 3, and 4. This is the first chapter of volume 1 of DARKNESS, so I was wondering if this translation would include DASH (aka DARKNESS Shido-hen) or just the 4 DARKNESS volumes.

Meh, Ken Ishikawa was really going somewhere with all the actual Buddhist references from the Shingon sect since Kyomu Senki culminating in the multiverse stuff from Ark(and the title itself being a reference) that since he's gone whatever deep meaning he wanted to give Getter was lost with him.
Seeing Getter stuff now only makes the pain harder.

According to google translate (not most reliable source, but...) Shido-hen means starting point. I haven't read it, but all sources I can find about the volume say that Shido-hen is DASH. There are different kinds of trash. dynamic pro produces good trash.

Trash doesn't necessarily mean bad. If you try to go by any objective metric, many dp manga would be considered trash, but if you're an exploitation fan, then you'll there's nothing wrong about trashy entertainment existing. In fact the industry needs it. Otherwise you just end up with a bunch of try hard writers thinking they're the next Shakespeare; see most modern writers and directors of mecha anime
