Raptor best ranger already

So I realized my problem with most modern Sentai mechas particularly the toys.

They're kinda not ornate and they are really simple, with only few folding/turning and just easily snap. I guess the idea is because they have collectible mecha parts to easily switch around, but still...

Compare GoGoV mecha to the Boukenger mecha (which I feel is really a lost opportunity). GoGoV toys are big whereas the Boukenger ones feel small except for BoukenRed's ride.

At least by Boukenger the in-show models were still very detailed and complex. The actual problem is mostly in the years afterwards when the simpler toy molds starting hurting what we get on screen.

To be fair the suits tend to rectify some problems (like the ToQ/Ninnin/Zyuoh mecha looking better as a suit than the toys), but still has that problem you mentioned.

Toku these days is always at least a certain bit serialized. It's not like 70s where it's literally just episode to episode, there's story arcs and developments now. How about Dairanger? Exemplary use of its time, almost every episode is dedicated to some kind of overarching story. They never seemed to want to replicate it again but just imagine how cool it would be if Kyuranger could focus and tell stories like that? Some later Sentai shows had shades of a similar approach but never to that extent. I feel like with a cast this large they need separate story arcs for each set of characters.

The Kyurangers' in order are Leo, Scorpio, Lupus, Libra, Taurus, Serpens, Chameleon, Aquila, and Dorado. People suspect that Shou Rampo will be a tenth Kyuranger representing Draco. Orion is their ship and is probably powered by/accessed through the appropriate Kyutama. I would assume the monsters of the week will represent quite a few that the team will need to collect.

I like what I've seen a lot personally. Stopped after Bunglay's defeat to wait it out until the finale.

Biggest complaint is that Sela kind of stopped being a character for a long stretch of time. I feel like Yamato is a bit bland too and a lot of his praise comes from him not being like Daigo, Right, and Taka.

The PR side of things is usually your best choice when you want Sentai games. Everything from MMPR up until Time Force or even Ninja Storm is actually fun enough to play, and Super Legends (At least on the DS) was pretty fun. The problem is that after that they started going full gimmicks like the QTE Samurai game, Kinect Samurai game, the Megaforce and Dino Charge games had the exact same problems as Go-Busters and Kyoruger did which were no one ever shuts up while being incredibly easy unless you're going for the best ranks at which they become no fun allowed and you have to never get hit at all. Then there's that new MMPR game which looks like a flash game that has barely any enemies and it has these enormous arenas with like three to four enemies at a time.

When the Zyuohger puzzle game looks better than any Sentai game released in the past two decades you know something is wrong.

I got Super Legends on PS2 just for the nostalgia basically, and it is dull as a fucking board. The side scrolling segments are the plainest megaman knockoffs ever, and every single character plays exactly the same. They boast that you can play as a bunch of classic rangers, but they're all just reskins with all the same moves and animations. The megazord battles are arguably the best part, which is bad because they're still boring.

It was a nostalgia fueled purchase, and even that didn't hold it up.

Ninninger is bad but it's still got Sentai production values so if anything at LEAST you can watch it for good music and action. After the first episode I thought for a second Ninja Steel was actually more fun, but having seen episode 2, nope, it's just the same Neo-Saban garbage with terrible ADD editing so prevalent in American children shows, never shutting up during the fights, terrible ADR work and the writing honestly just isn't good. As a PRfag, that makes sense(conceptually, at least, in practice not always) to know about sentai since it helps understanding the show better(not the plot) and the reasoning behind some of its decisions therefore making discussion better(again, ideally). PR requires sentai.

Red came back for Gokai, Blue's twin was in Akiba, and Chopper just had a large role on Ghost. Mele was in W and Ghost. I don't know about the others off hand, but that's better odds than a lot of shows so far.

Kyuranger really is turning out to be something that's too damn much. There's even too many monsters in the setting - ministers who govern star systems and then magistrates under them who reside on each separate planet, all the mecha at once, all the potential powerups, what a right mess.
