I kind of wish they cut this shot just a few seconds later, so the Pacman mask was entirely out of frame. That way the movie is basically optional, regardless of how canon it is. Saying this dude was responsible for an experiment is all you really need to know, but being able to see the mask brings up questions unnecessary to the narrative of the episode itself.

I'd say the first three series are most like Kamen Rider, and considering they had a young actress from Black RX voice Cure Black and other crossover stuff like pic related it was probably intentional. The franchise becomes more like Sentai as time goes on, with a shifting focus to bright primary colors, larger teams, and toned-down violence.

Those are legitimately the two worst characters of the entire franchise for me. Even with my hatred for Milk, I liked Yes5, but GoGo was too much. I can remember perfectly my ears, mouth, and even my skin pissing blood for watching this shit. And those two are mainly responsible for that.

Although I like Hikari, and I don't get why people hate that much MaxHeart when it's only real flaw is to be completely useless.

Nah nah nah. HaCha was bad even at the beginning. Megumi getting attention onscreen just made it worse. Hime was an unlikable character, but I accepted it because I've seen much worse (GoGo). But yeah, Megumi made the show from mediocre to flat out bad.
The only likable character is HaCha is Iona.

But again, that's just me. We can argue about this all day, but that's just our tastes.

And the always underestimated Precure series is Suite.

I really liked the tremendous confidence Hajime had in her abilities.

Same goes for that irregular at highschool anime which I don't remember the exact name of.
I've already noticed that most people tend to tolerate Stus or Sues much more when they're the quiet stoic type.

And I now realize I've been using stoic wrong, Hajime is absolutely stoic, the difference with her and others is that her default emotional state is much happier than pretty much anyone and especially a guy like Tendou.

Mana to a lesser degree but could actually be emotionally hurt.


I only can't stand Sues when they're not confident or easily fazed.
Otherwise if they have the confidence to back their plot control up or other strengths, I love it.


I don't think stories always need some struggle to be good, sometimes it can just be a story about the victory of x.
It doesn't have to be an Ali-Frazier a story can also just be a Calzaghe-Lacy or a Toney-Barkley.

I looked into this a few years back.
The dub has a lot of little edits for time, a few seconds here, a few seconds there.
It's do-able but it'll take some effort. It probably wouldn't be much more effort to go through and replace all the non-dialog audio for the original moon, or just drop the dub dialog onto the moontrack when they talk, that might be easier now that I think about it.

It really flipflops between lighthearted and depressing. It never goes full depressed outside one or two occasions, though. It's a pretty fun ride. The start might not pull you in immediately, but that's only a problem if you have to wait a week between episodes. When you can just watch them back-to-back like you could now, that shouldn't be a problem.
