Its beam weapon got pretty well scrapped beyond repair taking a giant slab of steel to the face. It's largely useless against Mobile Suits anyway, so there's no use in repairing or retrofitting it to something.

Reminder that it's pretty obvious now the way this is going.

Mika is going to fuck Atra off-screen while attached to Barbatos before he eventually dies once the series reach the end.
And because Mika was plugged into Barbatos while fucking Atra, their kid will have a natural compatibility with piloting a Gundam without needing the Allah-Vagina system.
Then on the final episode they will show us a time-skip where Atra is all grown up and we will see Hush training a young kid that just happens to look a lot like Mika, to insure that Tekkadan lives on should anything come to disturb these now peaceful days.

This is so cheesy that I am putting my hands in fire that it will happen.
It's the typical Okada shit, down to the very last line of father figures and passing the values over to the new generation.

For all the shortcuts he's taken to get to his goal, he and Tekkadan now suffering the consequences. They established an Earth branch to advise Arbrau's military, but their attitude alienated their supposed allies to the point that the soldiers wouldn't listen to them and that one Teiwaz guy betrayed them. Not to mention how easy it was to disrupt their communications while showing that very few of the OG members are capable of leading. As such, the Earth Branch ended up going back to Mars after the war. This would do a number on discrediting Tekkadan's rep.

They joined the mob and did big jobs to quickly raise through the ranks, but that ended up pissing off other parts of the organization. This has resulted in their biggest ally being betrayed to provoke a fight, as well as a civil war to kill the old man. At the end of this, Tekkadan might get their revenge but they have lost what Teiwaz offered them.

This leads them to having no other ally but McGillis, the guy who killed his childhood friends for the sake of his plan. Orga has pretty much become his dog when he started the series talking about how he will never lose his pride. And let's not forget McGillis has his own enemies to deal with, it's why Iok arrived on Mars and awakened the MA.

Meanwhile, Mika's becoming more and more of a cripple. No doubt Orga feels guilty about this, which increases the amount of influence Mika has over him. Mika has sacrificed half of his body to get to their happy ending, not to mention the comrades who lost their lives. It's all weighing on him.

It really doesn't help that while Tekkadan are treating them good, Orga has rely on child soldiers to make his fortune. They're still risking their lives for him and Tekkadan, and most aren't even the original CGS crew now. With bodies piling up, it would be hard not to question yourself.

In retrospect, Orga was very idealistic and naive last season. Now he's suffering for it. It's delicious.

It also doesn't appear to be getting a 1/100, which seems to indicate they don't expect it to sell as well. Shino also isn't getting a Figurise bust or whatever.

Is not slated for an upgrade or a 1/100. The 1/100 thing though may be related to the increase price of the original Rebake's when it was bundled with the armor for the less popular Frog-Gusion. Without a second frame, this could have been off-putting to potential buyers. And if the name Full City was meant to be symbolic of Akihiro continuing after losing his brother, then the amount of people he's lost may be a death flag. Akihiro is getting a bust though.

It's a very specific roast though, where it's brewed past the first crack until a second crack starts. The first crack was Masahiro, lost to the appropriately named Brewers. Then Akihiro before the season adopted former Brewer's kids, hence the start of the second crack, only to lose some of them like Aston. That's two cracks, well beyond a full city roast and more into the territory of Full French/Italian.

Now you throw Lafter on top of that, which could have been a third crack or Spanish roast. However, a third crack when roasting is pretty hard to achieve and the risk of the beans catching fire is high. Hence, Akihiro may be doomed since he's on the brink of his own destruction.

Akihiro is getting the bust because he's always been Tekkadan's #4 most important character plot-wise after Mika, Orga and Biscuit. That's why there's the most official art of him from the other pilots and why he got a rat figure before Shino or Eugene. Kind of hard to tell at times because he stopped being relevant in second half of S1. Everything seems to be going back now and Akihiro's plot line is once again tied to the plot the most. Doesn't mean he's getting off scot-free. On the contrary, I think out of all Tekkadan's lead characters he's got the most buildup for a sales boost.

And I'm a fan of mob stories. Nagai calling IBO such was the biggest reason why I didn't drop this after last season. It's worth remembering that he is very limited by appearances - he sorties in obsolete mobile suit, have to play politics instead of just killing his enemies - Tekkadan is decent at it but is still proxy. No matter what Rustal has up his sleeve, Mikazuki and Gundam brigade plus Mcgillis in Grimgerde are deadliest force shown so far.

It's really hard to say. The problem with IBO is that it's hard to skip episodes because each is part of a little arc that contributes something to the story or some character's development. There really isn't any filler episodes.

But each episode feels stretched out to the fullest and padded out. That's kinda the problem. It's repetitive enough to make a drinking game out of, and the exposition tends to be info-dumpy. The initial hype dies down and you just end up making jokes about Space Guts on a Space Boat. If season one could be edited into two compilation films, it would be far better than watching the full season.
