Even before Second Dream, the codex entries were hinting at something else.

Rhino Prime's entry mentioned a beast that used abilities not unlike Rhino's abilities, and that said beast 'calmed down' after getting close to where the survivors of the Zariman were kept.
Ember Prime mentioned someone who got their face burned by a child that used fire based abilities.

The frames themselves are heavily implied to be no more than infested flesh with cybernetic parts and shit installed in them.

That's how all major recipes are nowadays, unfortunately. Expect at least one out of the combo of plankton potion, essence of underaged, or extrasolar space rock with another one or two rare ingredients thrown in.

Frankly I'd take rare ingredients over asinine quantity of ingredients required. I still think it was silly to release Sibear as an independent weapon instead of as part of a skin pack.

The gameplay is nothing but grind that the devs insist they're cutting down on, the updates are constant nerfs, the enemy scaling is completely fucked, and the mission types are protect a thing/catch a thing/press a button protect the thing/kill things/or press a button three times with some shitty puzzle.

I can't stop myself from using Blood rush and Body count though, it's the only fun I have left, being able to make puree out of the enemies with various pointy implements regardless of level.
