Is Martian Successor Nadesico worth checking out?

There seems to be a bunch of QTs.
>>
Yes and you are correct in your observation.
>>
>>15153218

Yes.

Yes it is.
>>
How do I get to burning?
>>
>>15153218

Feels like a 90s re-imagining of SDF Macross, but with an even more stupidly cheap budget.

It's okay I guess.
>>
>>15153294
>but with an even more stupidly cheap budget.
Ha ha ha.
Nah.
>>
>>15153651

It was a slideshow on par with Evangelion in its slowest episodes. Bitch about Macross' QUALITY episodes all you want, but it definitely had a decent amount of sakuga moments to make up for it, unlike Nadesico.

Just run at him real fast and hug him.
>>
>>15153218
Mixed bad. I honestly found it to be boring most of the time and only the biggest toy commercial watcher would get even half the references.

The ending and the movie are terrible.
>>
>>15153886
That's another one of those things where Japan thinks the exact opposite. They fucking love the movie
>>
>>15155814
>They fucking love the movie
Then why did a bomb?
>>
>>15153218
I think it is.
Though you'll have more fun going in if you've seen your fair share of shows to get the rather in-your-face references which are very similar in tone to Diebuster or TTGL (things happen with no real reason or purpose unless you get the referential context).

This.

It's worth watching, but I wouldn't recommend it highly.
Ryoko a cute tho.

Just watch MJP for some wacky hijinks instead.

Also, Gekigan 3's OP is hype as shit.

What's wrong with her boobs? They are spaced so far apart.
>>
I'm sorry, Miss Nanako… Looks like I won't be able to take you to the beach like I promised…”

;_;

JOOOOOOOOOOOE!!!

It gets a bit shit later on but yeah, go for it.

The 90s were a weird time

Solid 90's mecha. It just pisses me off that you had to play the Sega game to find out what happened after the final episode.

Oh and fuck The Prince of Darkness movie. That was giving the finger to Nadesico fans and expecting them to enjoy being fucked over.

She's a loser.

I hate fake harems. All girls but the author's favorite are eternal losers. Even in the movie, none of the girls have moved on from him.
>>
>>15153218
the movie is, the TV series has.... problems
>>
>>15160921
I'm an unabashed movie apologist and even I think the movie has at least as many problems as the TV series.

Let's be honest here: only Ryoko and Megumi were remotely love rivals against Yurika, and even then it was inevitable that they'll lose to her. But this is for the better though, since they actually did move up in their lives when you take away the romance parts from them.
>>
>>15160935
like what? it was excellent
>>
>>15160911
More like all the girls but the heroine had no chance to begin with.
And in the movie Ryoko is the only one who still looks like she has romantic feelings for him.
>>
>>15160957

Hell Megumi stopped being relevant nearly entirely in the second half of the series. As far as loser harem girls go Ryoko got it pretty good.
>>
>>15160957
what is Rori from Agent Aika doing piloting real robots?
>>
>>15161356
>Hell Megumi stopped being relevant nearly entirely in the second half of the series.
IIRC she dumped Akito.
>>
>>15161384

yeah but after all the air time she hogged early on she just nearly vanished completely outside of the few token appearences to remind you she existed
