When I first saw it in middle school I loved it, now I prefer Proto Wing Zero/TV Wing Zero.

I still like a of the Katoki redesigns though. Except I think Shenlog/Altron got fucked. Shenlong can't extend its arm and only got a sword as an upgrade, also I liked the beam glave. Then Altron can't shoot fire. And in the comic it doesn't even get a redesigned wing and stinger, they just slapped on the TV version.

Still though, I'd watch the shit out of an OVA of GotL.

it's extremely articulate with a shitton of joints. It's not one single piece, but a whole bunch of them.

Also it's hand animated, so there's bound to be flex, stretch, and in between frames. It's not CG so you won't be getting a perfectly on-model perspective.
