In fact, even without equipping the barf beam, it's still a better alternative to the standard 380-cost Hyaku Shiki for what it does, at least until they buff shotguns again.

Meanwhile Hamma Hamma is nowhere near that level of usefulness.

You have to stay dedicated to the gashacon you want, it can take months to actually land on the MS you had in mind. But it does keep the balance(or whats left of it) in check.

Usually you'll just see most of the high level players with the new suit on day one, and itll take a bit to trickle down to the causal and lower level players.
If everyone could buy the suit they wanted right off the back then there would only be Q-balls and sentinel gundams flying around most likely they would be a stacked deck of OP clone suits. Btw what units are you talking about with custom slots? I'm at a loss

I stopped putting actually money into this game two years ago, now I just collect DX tickets and wait. You'll end up spending far more money then the game is even worth. Plus my old bank account liked to charge me twice after a few months after buying BC coins

Going by odds. Rolling a 10+1 pull on pickup gives you the best odds of pulling the gold spotlight suits at 5.10% (counting haro ticket odds). Rotations have the benefit of you eventually getting them but it'll take a lot more tickets before you enter a decent chance of grabbing a gold blueprint of a spotlight suit.

Pick up is still a crapshoot since it is 5 suits vs 2.

This is actually good to know, I usually play Defense and often use a Shield to block for an exposed Objective, having better Knockdown on top means shutting down rushes easier.

Most H variant weapons have 800 base lock-on, which gives you about 960 lock-on when maxed. That sticks pretty darn close to the target.

As far as I know, only the trainer machine gun has 1000 lock-on and it can't be upgraded further. I used it quite a bit when I first start playing, but it's a little too tight in anything but melee range. 960 is a sweet spot, giving you just enough room to lead a target mid-range, but still being tight enough that you comfortably hit a moving target at close-range.

anything near 1k lock on would be extremely useful on ranges 300s and less, anything farther you'll need lesser lock on value to be able to lead and compensate.
normally though, weapons that have long ranges tend to have lower max lock on value anyway, but not always.
it also mainly depends on weapon projectile size and speed, stuff like the h type beam rifles moves fast enough with good projectile size you can probably use 900s of lock on value for ranges up to the 500s.

The only thing that is putting me off from having a full Dom derp squad is most of them are ether ground or space only.

I've been encountering a lot of GMs (don't know what specific models) that obliterate my mobile suits in like 3 single beam shots. It's ridiculous when I'm gunning down the GM for like 8 seconds non-stop and knocking them down, then they get up, shoot me 3 times and I'm dead from full health.

As a medium-long range player, it's personally my no.1 favorite suit. Rapid fire beam cannon (as fast as Doven/ZZ M-type, but with the power of N-type), fast (this is what they're going to buff even more btw), and really slim, with the firepower of a heavy type (8.5k zook and 4k beam rifle). Zeon complained about them saying "zeon will never have anything close" tho the 4 efreets would say something else. The only thing that seems to be OP about the striker seems to be the beam saber. It's MG seems to be nerfed now, and only the nemesis ver. has a stun shield. But it was never that good, no where close compared to how the gouf's stun-to-melee combo and buff after the update.
Honestly the striker seems to have shit the bed and is now just a grandpa oyw.

Melee is not as fun for foreigners due to the ping (if there is a 1v1 you almost always lose even if on your end you reacted faster), but is still kind of fun. Most of the high tier suits have melee available. You will get absolutely destroyed in your first few dozen matches, but stick with it and you are almost guaranteed to improve. The ranking system is sort of fucked so lower ranks are harder than they used to be but there are plenty of good suits available with ingame currencies so you should be okay. The game can run on a toaster or a high spec computer. You'll probably get terrible performance and PS2 graphics either way.

The game is worth playing if you stick with it long enough to get the thrill of 20+ kill streaks and single-handedly destroying bases but I certainly wouldn't spend any real money on it in its current state.
