Shino's definitely has a more dramatic flare to it and makes it unique, but I really like the more tactical aura this has. Especially in lockdown mode it'd look more imposing, whereas Shino's colours fall short there making it look like a pet.

Barbatos was really boring for me for the longest time. (last time it was "cool" for me was back with the Dino-wrench against Carta in the first season)

Now that it has sub-manipulator arms and a spinal tail whip, i'm finally interested in this monstrous thing.

Hush's older brother had him. Aston had a new family. Galan was brought down because of his bond to Rustal working in secret. The Turbines were a family and Orga's new family.

Eh, I wouldn't be so sure about that; Carta supposedly put on most of that act in order to set an example for her men, with a personal guard being look-a-likes for her childhood crush at that.
Hell, one of them was so damn loyal he chased the Barbatos into un-shielded RE-ENTRY, something he was outright told was certain death, just to defend her honor.
The only other character shown to go to those lengths was Ein himself.

As for having no qualms about killing Tekkadan, one has to remember that they just maneuvered around her Outer Earth Joint Regulatory Fleet, AKA the Fleet whose solo job is to protect the Earth Sphere.
Adding to their quiet real threat, Carta never really faced Tekkadan outside of Mechanized Combat, even Cranky-knees was dutifully destroying Mobile Workers before he finally found out just who was piloting them.

She's the ideal Gjallarhorn, she lives by a code that she adheres to (mostly evident in the way she carries herself and her troops). She may not have killed non-combatants because of her moral conscience, but because it's against the rules and as one of those non-corrupt members she probably doesn't bend the rules every once in a while (ie. no "they're just guidelines" attitude).

There's a lot of power and security in playing the game by the rules, whether you like them or not, and having the other players do the same. Gjallarhorn would've collapse long ago if at least superficially, it did not stick to the rules of the game they play. This is evident after the fight with the mobile armor.

If you see the scene where Iok makes an outburst during a seven stars meeting and Rustal later explains to him why he didn't say anything against McGillis, in fact, he congratulated him. Gjallarhorn's whole survival hinges on doing things a certain way, otherwise Iok's kind of passion and emotion would've torn down an organization like Gjallarhorn long ago.

Crank and Carta are both non-corrupt people that did things the way they were supposed to, and in both cases it led to their death. However, in Crank's case, he also had a moral conscience apart from, and in conflict with, his duties as a member of Gjallarhorn. You also have to take into account that Crank's mission meant killing pre-Tekkadan in their own home, not the Tekkadan delivering arms to space colony rebels and trespassing onto Earth. So you can't really fault Carta's moral conscience for not seeing Tekkadan as innocent kids by the time they got to her.

They're basic reginlaze shields. The only thing that was "custom" about Julietta's reginlaze compared to the standard was the little mini-lance things. Even the color is the same as the mp version.
