Oh wow, that's cool. The animation is improved too, actually. In the first half there was so much animation re-use in the fights, but I'm realizing I haven't seen much of it in the last few episodes, outside of transformation sequences anyway. I could get used to this.

It's also a nice episode. When enemies sing it always is - though I think by always I just mean twice, since I think Exedol and Gigil are the only two who've done it. It's kind of funny when Shin sings in episode 5 of Zero too I guess. You could also count Sharon for all of Macross Plus I suppose, though given she's the primary singer that seems unfair.

I was amused that there was special dialogue in Macross Triangle Frontier for shooting down all of the Protodevlin before Basara makes them listen to his song. Even funnier is the fact you can shoot down Basara whenever he appears, and Gamlin will thank you.

It's possible she's a Space War I veteran, but Macross 7 takes place in 2045, 33 years after Space War I and Veffidas only looks to be in her 20s, so it's possible she's of Basara and Mylene's generation too. I'd say it's much more likely even really, if only because that wasn't mentioned and if she was a vet, it seems like the kind if thing that'd get brought up. Her being of a similar age seems more likely just because they have similar musical tastes and stuff too.
