That's why his initial comment when Emu tried using it was to say Pallad was just being cruel. He also thinks Emu is much too softhearted to be a doctor, so he dislikes him from a professional standpoint.

Taiga wants to be the only Kamen Rider: possibly because he doesn't want anyone else to suffer the burden, possibly because of his ego, more likely a little of both. Similarly to Hiiro, he knows there's something wrong about Emu and doesn't like him as a result.

Nah, OOO is my favorite Rider season. My point is more than it handles dark and light-heartedness equally well depending on what it needs to be at the time.

Fourze never had a reason to get dark because it was about how optimism and friendship bring out the best in people. OOO had a theme that leads to self-destruction when taken to its extreme and that's what they went with late in the show.

Even Para-DX fits into the show's duality themes. It's not just the red/blue opposing genres motif of his suit, Pallad's personality also changes depending on which form he's in. Perfect Puzzle is calm and cool, while Knock-Out Fighter is amped-up and excitable, which I think have been the two personalities Pallad has shown before. Para-DX is him switching between them in one body, unlike Emu, who splits into two.

They've also been hinting at Pallad being a sort of foil or parallel to Emu, as well.
