Even with the exposed pistonwork, the Gundam Frames are all infinitely more conventional in look. This smacks more of imparting a demonic character because the design requirements call for it, rather than a Washioism.

Of course it goes both ways, Fafner's namesake machines look the way they do to convey that blurred boundary between human and alien, from what I know.

Sure the counter resets with each episode, and there's no stock boilerplate post like with more explicitly defined generals, but the same function of consolidating all conversation out of a belief that it's the only way to sustain the subject among others within a freeform imageboard/messageboard platform is present.

That all being said, again I do agree that there's no need to rush these threads, because /m/ has been and continues to be rather slow paced. Just, at the same time, I don't really think there's a need to use the "interface" of a general thread, when all you need is constructive discussion to sustain the subject.

On that note, I've been thinking about how Orga never really seems to have had a fly or die moment, and if Naze is exiting the stage next episode things could go sideways for Tekkadan in a fashion quite different from before.

"Death of the mentor" is nothing new, but I'm still interested in which way the show will swing on it.

When a thread becomes a general, it becomes pure cancer. Even if it's just in name only, something about being a general brings out all the worst elements.

Iok is still hyper-retarded. Civilians get nuked but the most that happens to Tekkadan is that Mika burns himself out some more cranking Barbs to full blast for reasons I'll mention later. Flauros was great in a so dumb it loops back to awesome way. Pompadour guy revealed that, in addition to having studied computer shit before signing up with Tekkadan, the Gundams were all calibrated such that they'd go maximum overdrive against mobile armors but the AV system was set with a safety limit to prevent pilots from being burnt out by the sudden signal spike; this results in Gusion being situationally rendered useless in the fight, Flauros becoming situationally valuable by railgunning the mobile armor out of the Gundam's panic range, and Barbatos crippling Mika even further.

To be fair though, Mika goes full feral with Barbs once the limiters are thrown off, it makes the fight with Graze Ein last season look absolutely tame.

Vidar drops massive hints to McGillis as to whom he is, but currently Vidar is pretty much "he has a right to explain himself before I get all bent over being killed in the name of reform."

She did her high-risk/high-reward play last season and it made a lot of people suffer. As such, she is now going on a slower path to accomplish her goals without people suffering as a consequence. She wouldn't even allow herself to become Makanai's heir or whatever. It's where her evolution has diverged from Tekkadan's, who are still trying to obtain the good life as quick as possible. In a way, she's the same as Takaki. She knows it's fucked up and wants out as much as she can.

IBO will end with Choco in the Bael destroying both the Gjallarhorn leadership and Tekkadan. They'll try fighting against him but then he unveils the secret power of the Bael which is more or less Trans-Am and lets him defeat everyone until Mika makes his final devil's deal with Barbados. They start fighting, moving so fast that no one can see their movements except Vidar and Julietta who comment that only 5 minutes have passed. McGillis tells Orga and Kakarot that he's going to blow up Mars and kill everyone even if they manage to stop him in order to destroy the power of Aldnoah once and for all. Mika is able to beat him but Mars is ultimately destroyed and Mika, having given his soul to Barbatos, is dead and unresponsive as Orga cries out for him.

Flash forward a couple years. Kudelia is now Supreme Hegemon of Earth with Orga and Tekkadan acting as her bodyguards until an important political meeting of hers is crashed by Perfect Iok.

None of this is necessary, pointless blood is being spilled because Gaelio needs to "find out McGillis motive." EVEN THOUGH Rustal's ultimate goal is to wipe him off the political map anyway.
