I'm thinking that Emu's game illness is different than the one we've seen so far. There's only one way for an organism to survive through such a massive infection (that is supposed to kill). It can do so by adapting to the illness. Emu's body has probably integrated the game illness into his DNA and is slowly reforming it. Doing so means that Emu is now into an evolutionary path... and becomes a Bugster himself!

It's been a while since we got a Rider that turned into the monsters they were fighting against, so I believe TOEI is going with it this time. It kinda makes sense. Emu is a "special" kid. That's probably because for whatever reason, he can adapt into the game illness. I don't believe that Emu and M are two different entities. Emu just happens to have 2 personalities. MBXX is the result of that. After all, once Emu decided what he wanted (the operation), both his personalities completely agreed to it.

Though I have to say that it's still too early to speculate. We are probably all of us wrong. I remember a guy speculating that M is the original dude and Emu is a bugster or something. I believe that's the most logical conclusion so far, if we trust Nico about "Emu was never so kind".

You know what would be a real kick in the dick? What if it turns out Emu is more than just patient zero, that he's actually the original source of bugster virus? What if it turns out that in order to eradicate the bugsters permanently, they have to eradicate the original source entirely?
