I disagree with some of it.

For the OT, I'd say 0079, Zeta, ZZ, and CCA. 0079 being A New Hope, Zeta being Empire, ZZ and CCA being analogous to Return. ZZ has cringeworthy attempts to be more lighthearted and isn't very logical at times, but it also has dark moments. CCA completes the story that 0079 and Zeta set up.

For the prequels, it's a bit harder. I'd go with X and Turn A myself. Killed interest in the series for quite a few years.

Force Awakens, no. SEED should go there. It was a retread of the original.

For Rogue One, I have no clue. I can't think of any Gundam series with characters that flat and unmemorable, with no personality whatsoever. Wing, maybe?

SEED actually does things other than copy MSG in the later parts of the series (whether those things are good or bad are irrelevant), where Unicorn, like TFA, is a safe, bland, but pretty, retread all the way through.

dude go watch it! its genuinely good. its very dark and interesting. it has a soundtrack that goes perfectly with it. if you favor the zeon side of the war you will like it even more since it has good character development for them and shows the feddies basically as fucking maniacs. it illustrates the brutality of war. the animation is stunning. the battles are beautiful and entertaining by anyone's standards. if you see the movie its only like 45min long (im pretty sure you can still see it on youtube. that's where i did at least) but damn its good from start to finish and a second movie is coming out soon so it gives you something more to look forward to once you've seen it.

Curious but fair assessment. Killed interest in the series for a while, only to later being considered as relatively hidden gems?

It's my opinion of the Prequels, at least. I never hated them or lost interest in Star Wars due to them. Like them about as much as the originals.
