I'm going to ahead and share the conclusion I came to through all these inferences, but first I want to talk about the Cataclysm War.

Before, people have been fighting with inefficient remnants of the cataclysm war. Being able to graft one whisker on to kids is seen as a huge success. The MA wakes up and everyone realizes how terrifying that age must have been, considering even Mika has difficulties countering it, right? We're told that Gjallahorn exists to suppress information from that era, to protect human purity or some shit. I'd like to assume there's a good reason for it.


If we assume that Ein is dead and Vidar is simply Gaelio, we will have a story that involves two childhood friends engaged in a deep and bitter feud, which sounds like an interesting enough story for Gundam, considering all the other story developments, but doesn't it sound a bit pedestrian?

If Vidar is Ein, or a combination of Ein/Gaelio, it means the current climate is already very similar to the Cataclysm War, with strange human/machine hybrids on a level that hasn't been seen before. If it's easy to make them or even easier than making space rats, this will turn the balance of power greatly. Every young character would have to make the choice to become a cyborg, or simply not compare to everyone else that did.

I'll say that obviously I've put more thought in to this second branch, but if I'm right I think I'm really going to enjoy this season.

Naturally, if I'm wrong I'll be sure to come back here so you can say "I told you so"

I really hope the end of the season 2 is a proper conclusion, so we can see whether or not all these possible trails actually amount to anything.

It's more that up until that point, Orga has been so fucking reckless, and it's never come back to bite him in the ass. Possibly it's because he knows the capabilities of his people and knows how to use them, but even then, if you're punching up as much as Tekkadan you're going get fucked up badly some day.

Shino and the cuties take some really nasty hits, to the point I was expecting at least a few of them to die, and then when they're shown after the fight as conscious and fine it really bothered me.

The feeling I always got was that Aston actually wasn't buying in to any of his bullshit, they only ever show Takaki buying it. It was for this reason that I thought Galan was being a bit too proud of himself.

The guy put a hit on them and would be putting another one if he had the chance, it still wasn't presented as a righteous and triumphant thing to do. The mood was meant to be unsettling. S2 is obviously pointing to Tekkadan as being a potential problem in the new world that Kudeila is trying to create and Orga making shifty decisions more than S1 did. Personally I don't really see Tekkadan as being a problem considering that the world they live in is still violent as fuck and none of Kudelia's good intentions of fixing it are in any shape or form near of materialising themselves. But I still see Orga as being on a path to his comeuppance. I just don't want to see characters like Akihiro, Eugene or Shino being dragged down together with him and Mika. Particularly Shino, he already played the scapegoat for Ein but I feel like he'd be the first one on the chopping bord if Tekkadan was to have a major sacrifice.

He also shown signs of his old instincts coming back, while Takaki was fretting over losses, Aston treated this like the days when he was fighting for the Brewers, they are just fodder and feral beasts to be unleashed. That was why the SAU/Abrau conflict felt different, it wasn't something out of Orga's playbook where he would make calculated but somewhat ballsy plays. This was textbook Human Debris style warfare with the only difference being that Galan doesn't beat them to near death just because they felt like it.

A single skirmish with CGS against Gjallarhorn cost them 110 lives on both units combined, the entire campaign in season one took the lives of 52 Tekkadan soldiers. To put it lightly, the SAU/Abrau conflict was similar to the first battle losses thanks to how Galan manipulated the situation to draw out as much blood as possible using Tekkadan.

It was in a sense heaven for Aston at this point, back to old instincts where he didn't think for himself. If he was in control of his instincts and realize beneath it all Galan is just another Kudal and Radice is Brooke. He would have told Takaki that they are under Galan's orders and McGillis realizes that and takes the risk and focuses on Galan and the two turn their guns on Galan to realize he was betrayed by them.

If you have seen up to the recent episodes, Kudelia has been using the Admoss company to build and fund schools, agriculture, and orphanages. This is probably some of the most humane things one could do with a bunch of money, and I believe it's generally accepted in humanitarian circles that if you could take care of those things in a place like Africa, while also being able to provide security, you could give even a continent like that some hope for a future.


At this point however, Kudelia is directly asking the fat fuck for money to fund her humanitarian efforts. She outwardly states this is dirty, and fat fuck outwardly states he will go along with it because he makes her money.

I think it could be very interesting to see what happens if Kudelia is actually able to create humanitarian infrastructure and then protect it with some kind of force, even the war mongers will have a difficult time upsetting things.

Only in terms of quantity but the choreography, animation and framing are really lackluster. The muted color palette with the dirt and all doesn't help either. Compare flauros in ep 37 and in the OP for example, the difference is drastic. Mecha in the OP just aren't presented in an exciting way.

This new op just didn't seem like the end to IBO as a series.

Perhaps it's cause of all the lack of bael, lack of vidar, lack of who the main overall enemy is, lack of events to look forward to ,lack of macky or maybe it's because its was mostly just tekkadan mechs fighting against nothing, but if the new op is anything to go by, there is probobly more IBO in the future. This just didn't seem like a finale OP to end a series on.

All i get out of the OP is that lafter and Julietta are probobly going to be in similar situations (perhaps Julieta's loyalty to Rustal gets challenged like Lafters to Naze, though i doubt it, Perhaps she falls in love?)

With explosive rounds, considering how durable an average mobile suit is, there's no guarantee of pilot death. If you're using rounds designed to bore into mobile suits and reduce the pilots to paste, I guess that's much more questionable in terms of whatever Geneva Convention stand-ins IBO has, if any.

It's not quite like the whole controversy surrounding the use of cluster bombs, but that does come to mind for me for some reason.

And he said that the Flauros used a conventional warhead, and implied that the one taken from Warehouse 4 had a banned type of warhead. The type of round used in the illegal one from Warehouse 4 is probably DG Cells or nukes or something similarly extreme. Just being armor-piercing rounds isn't enough to get a weapon banned by a treaty.
