Is there any better rip of Dougram available than the one on BakaBT? Both audio and video quality are complete trash in [X Nebula] release and I want to watch this.
Also recommend some other 80s-90s shows. I might have missed some. I know I should watch Layzner too but BD still has no subs.
There's a torrent on nyaa.se from 2014 that contains raw .wmv files of the Dougram TV show. I'm currently downloading it to see if the quality is any better than the X Nebula release (I would assume so since the X Nebula release is from 2010)

Dougram never had a Blu-Ray release, did it? I know Crinn worked with what he had, and for a lot of shows available raws aren't that good ;-;
>>15109074
Yeah...I was wrong. The torrent I downloaded was a LaserDisc rip, and it looks the same as the X Nebula release
>>15109118
It doesn't seem like there was a Blu-Ray release for Dougram.
>...for a lot of shows available raws aren't that good ;-;
Agreed. If the DVDs for various mecha shows weren't so insanely overpriced then maybe we'd get better rips but the chance of the prices decreasing doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon...
I'm still hoping that someone gets ahold of the Galatt DVD-Box soon so that he/she can replace the 240p rips we currently have.
>>15109118
Any idea what this could be? There's a very high res Dougram there.

Yeah, that'd be nice. Chances are it's Nanto that might do it (since I read somewhere he'd love to do that show), but it would be best if he does so for a collab that doesn't take too long.
On my end, I hope someone gets the DVD Memorial Box for Daiohja, so that there aren't any Chinese hardsubs present anywhere.

There was, but not anymore.

Looks like you need some sort account to access this, likewise how would one rip the footage?
>tfw some of the best Dougram art you can find is fanart, boxart
>a lot isn't even in good res
I'll never not be mad.

Chirico with shading looks wrong.

Right-click, save video?

Just grab raws on nyaa and subs on subs.com.ru. Use aegisub for timing if necessary. I watched it same way back in 2014.

Nice

It looks like the whole series is available to watch here: http://video.unext.jp/title/SID0015544
The site is apparently a Netflix-style deal and requires a subscription but they offer a 31 day trial: http://video.unext.jp/feature/welcome/
I installed Silverlight and tried to play the first episode and the player started to load and then it took me to the login screen. Some of these preview thumbnails definitely look better than what's currently available; I wonder if they're actual screens?

>Chirico
any niggas looking into this shit
so no better rips?

Don't tell Crinn that, he can't tell. I appriciate the work he's done, but the man is blind and deaf.

the dvds look exactly the same

Generally Bakabt only accepts the best possible release avaliable.
>>15132703
Pretty much this.
This show was never "Remastered" or anything, but the recent surge in plastic models had me thinking they might be cooking up some sort of reboot or sequels.
Even if we get BD versions, it'd still be VHS quality video.

How so?

Have they lost the master prints?

If anyone can show me how to sign up for this thing, and it doesn't cost anything, I'm more than willing to give a try ripping it.
>>15140714
They offer a trial, just have google translate the site and see what happens, it might help if you use a nip vpn or something.
>>15142438
I'll give it a shot over the weekend.

The same as >100 meg pixelfests? Fuck off, who do you think you're going to fool? The encodes are 100% the problem with the quality. There is no way that the DVD's would be pixelated like that. Look at these jaggies!

There used to be a tripfag in here who bragged about owning the DVDs, but he never did anything with them.
