Although it had the most unhappy, bad ending, I wasn't as saddened by RoL as I was by Exodus or some things that happened in Dead Aggressor.

Maybe because it's all confined to 50 minutes so you can't get used to the characters that much, or maybe because none of the L-Boat people are in the series so you know what's going to happen. Either way I didn't find it hitting me THAT hard emotionally.
