How do you have over 40 decks and not a single bathroom?
>>15100083
Where do you think replicators get their material?
>>15100083
They use transporters to dump it into space directly from their bowels.
>>15100111
That sounds incredibly uncomfortable somehow
>The main bridge of the USS Enterprise-D featured a bathroom just off the doors leading to the observation lounge. In the authorized re-creation of the main bridge in Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, the inscription on the doors read "HEAD". The head was visible in a few episodes, but while the doorway was initially labeled "CONFERENCE" in "Gambit, Part II", it was relabelled "HEAD" by "Emergence". In addition, in episodes throughout the seventh season, multiple crew members can be seen simultaneously entering the bridge via the head. It is unclear how many toilets are available for use in the head on the main bridge.
The same article mentions there's also a private one in the Ent-D's ready room. Presumably there are others throughout the ship. Obviously officers' quarters had private bathrooms.

So you're saying that they put some kind of butt plug with warp function into their butts and this in turn expels all of their shits and farts into space? What's the case with peeing? Anyways, got to say that federation technology is truly amazing.
>>15100083
In their quarters they had showers and the like.
But the question is... where did the waste go after you flushed it? >>15100091 may have a point here.
>>15100149
>everyone must wear a buttplug
So many hilarious convos on DS9 wasted.
>>15100163
Just imagine how awkward it would be during the final recruitment phase. Besides receiving their identification badge they would also get these plugs.
>>15100149
I was thinking more along the lines of sanitation crews monitoring the crewman's bowel functions 24/7 and teleporting them as needed, but your idea seems less high maintenance. And it avoids the unfortunate possibility of the shit crew and the regular transporter crews getting their streams crossed, resulting in a race of hideous Brundlefly-esque feces-human hybrids.

That's actually exactly what happens. Matter reclamation. I mean you think about it, they have replicators, they have transporters, they can dismantle things at the atomic level. E-coli and other hazards get broken down to sterile elements and put back up.

Are there any counter measures to prevent them falling out or are they permanently placed in their asses? After the crew members end their service said devices are taken out and the data is analyzed to improve models to come?
What about peeing? Going by the buttplug idea there must be some separate attachments for men and women. Your idea to make them a health monitoring devices is really clever.

I always knew those socialist liberals were full of shit.

Riker told us the ship has 1 and only 1 on the entire ship

Catheters, my friend.
>>15100226
>>15100608
And a separate plug for the vagina that attaches to the universal catheter.

That would be called the MWDU (Multi Waste Disposal Unit) and knowing that most of federation device are multipurpose it could also serve as a identification device in case of emergencies.
>>15100149
>implying the standard issue combadge doesn't also contain its owner's biometric data with which to perfectly coordinate a colon and bladder exfiltration on demand
And then the subspace septic tank starts leaking.
>>15100666
Picture this>>15100614 in a situation like this:
>Enterprise got a mission to investigate an abandoned fed vessel in space. There's no one on board except a captain's body, or what's left of it, since it's upper half was blown off. Luckily the MWDU unit somehow survived and through analyzing enterprise can find out what actually happened.
Said devices can work alongside each other.
>>15100614
>the vagina plug also connects to the buttplug
>>15100083
Voyager does have bathrooms mentioned. Some were broken queues started. And Bolians have have really acidic shit.

Obligatory.
Why not use space diapers that do the teleportation? More comfortable and they even clean up afterwards.
This is a shitty thread.
Don't they use seashells, for whatever purposes, on their bathroom?
