Augemented Reaction Suit from Vanquish is the coolest powersuit for me.

It has the standard speed and strength enhancements, but also rocket legs which help zip around the battlefield and as it name suggests it increases the user's reaction speed similar to bullet time.

Also it's compatible with the BLAdE system where the weapon morphs to an array of different types of small firearms, launchers, and plasma blasters depending on which type of ammunition the has.

Also, seeing it in action is awesome.

In the military, blue means its training/simulation equipment for weapons and explosives.

Holy shit there was a Starship Troopers cartoon that was more like the books than the Verhoeven movie? /m/ just giving me gifts here.

I can't find the image on my other PC but I remember there was a Japanese translation of the Forever War too which had a cool idea for what the powered armor looked like in THAT series (read; 70s-era tech that regularly broke and killed the occupants). Here's a crappy GIS image of the cover.

I was pleasantly surprised by it as well. I'd expected it to be very sub-par but it actually stood on its own. I will say, though, the part of its appeal was watching Tom Cruise die over and over again. Especially when he tried to roll under that truck

I've been a fan of Royo's work since the '90s when I came across one of his compilation artbooks. His post-Heavy Metal pieces when his airbrush work got much more wispy is instantly recognizable to me. His early-'90s retro-style like pic related is still pretty good, though.

Nah power armor and exoskeletons are actually a pretty feasible idea, since you don't need to worry about constructing something that can replicate a human's movements, only augment them. Human's still doing all the actual brainwork of movement. The main thing against them ATM is battery power.

I don't think SPI was actually power armor, the Semi powered moniker mostly came from the stealth systems. Hell most variants didn't even have shields (only ones that did were the Headhunter varients)

Least that's how I understood it from the books.
