Ereymanthos is a weird one. Named for the Eremanthyian boar. Which is certainly big and scary enough to name a monster after but doesn't really have any connection to time powers.

Hercules drove it in the show and then brought to some jerk who pissed himself at the sight of it.

These assholes Meleagros and Atalantes where named for the Argonaut Meleager and the the virgin huntress Atalanta who was thought to love the former. you might remember her as the chick who couldn't resist the golden apples and lost a foot race.

Meleager was a venerated hero, killed some centaurs for messing with his girl, followed Jason to Hades and was one of the only ones whose shadows didn't flee at the sight of Hercules who was busy working on the whole Cerberus thing.

Oh and he's Dianeira's brother. Still generally a lot cooler in myth than the show

The entire point was that the Iron Tribe had literally just gotten in to exploring space while the Heroid, Silver and Bronze had all being doing it for a good while and the Gold for eons probably. The ending with the Iron Tribe becoming the new Silver Tribe technologically and having dominion over the Bronze while the Silver leaves the galaxy like the Goldren Tribe establishes that the Silver Tribe probably started off fairly badly technologically too, but just refined and improved their technology to that point over time in the space exploration game.
