Whatever. Most people forgot it existed much like the manga itself. The TV re-airing of the OVAs was a mistake and the twitter drama with the mangaka pretty much doomed the project. At this point the only way if it'll be relevant again is if it gets into an SRW.

Twitter drama?
Sad. The animation was top tier.
Is the manga guy a cunt or something? I need details.

can someone explain to me what happened
i love the movies but I want to know what happens after since I think the manga goes after the movies ended

wait what happened?
Good riddance, the author is a mess.

What's in the OP is all there is to it, just a brief notice that production has been halted after a discussion with the author. No context was provided but there must've been some shit happening behind the scenes.

Not good news. I was hoping for more of this property.

This is for that prequel OVA about the main robot's backstory that they announced years ago alongside the TV cut, right? I assumed it had been cancelled a long time ago.

I lost faith in seeing any more animation a year ago. The manga is actually good, but it just doesn't go anywhere and it's been dead for a long time. I made a comment in a forum that he should let someone else pick it up, like american comic books change writers. No one else thought that was a good idea, but if he has the story in a corner he may not know where to go with it.

>original story
