Just watch it, it's a fine, well crafted story with amaxing music, voice acting, and story telling, you do not, i repeat, do not need to be versed in much of UC history at all to appreciate it, the story does a god job of hand holding viewers through the important bits, eg, when we first meet our hero Banagher he is sitting in a history lecture, this 30 second scene does alot of set up what you may be interested in regarding the history of conflict in UC
