I'm genuinely enjoying Appli Monsters. It clearly wants to be Yokai Watch (the fun monsters and episodic plots) meets Megaman NT Warrior. It's doing that really well. I honestly can't say I wanted another Adventure or Tamers at this point, we got that with Savers and I couldn't have given less of a shit about it.

Plus, it actually understands kids of the current generation better than Digimon Adventure ever did for my generation. Just enough self-awareness without getting cringy and overly self-referential. 2 episodes devoted to the idea that becoming a YouTuber and making reaction videos is awesome and a worthwhile mission in life. A fart joke that was actually pretty amusing.
