Just finished watching Patlabor TV, and I loved every minute

If you liked the TV series, you like the first film.

The second film is more hit and miss. I love it, but it's so different from the tone and style of the TV series that I can understand why people don't like it

First OVA series is pretty much the same as the TV universe, except IIRC Goto is less goofy. First moive is pretty great, as you would expect. The second movie is quite different and wasn't to my liking, but it's worth a try.

This is important OP, do this if you haven't already. It's basically more episodes of the TV anime.

Otherwise yes, everything but WXIII is worth seeing at least once.

Movie 2 is phenomenal. Movie 1 and new files ova are pretty good

Patlabor 2 the Movie is kino but to get the most out of it it's best to watch Early Days and movie 1.
