It's nice to see this series getting a new release, but it's probably gonna be an upscale and not really look any better than the DVD.

Can you stop posting bs? Upscale still look better than their DVD counterparts. To say it's all the same is Dumb. If they didn't, then there would be no point in releasing early digital anime on bluray.

The DVDs for this look pretty damn good to me, I don't see how stretching the picture out and applying a filter will make it look better in any meaningful way. It's sure as hell not gonna magically create detail where there wasn't any. I'm no videophile though.
The point of a new release that looks about the same is just business, and for the series to simply exist in the new format, I guess.
