I imagine MAs were stockpiled like the USA and USSR stockpiled nukes. So there's be a couple thousand of them but since they're running amok they aren't coordinated so you'd need to gather everybody you could and focused down one Mobile Armor at a time.

Thing is, MA are still pretty dangerous and nano-laminate is a new thing so not everybody has it and between that and the Pluma Hordes you're at something like a 30 percent attrition rate per battle. Not to mention that the MA's themselves are so deadly that only your best pilots have a chance at killing them. So you take the losses, kill the MA, scrape together replacements, and go after the next MA.

...That actually makes a pretty good story. Any chance of an IBO prequel set during the calamity war?

IBO suits would keep pounding the SEED suits until their batteries ran out. Plausibly, you can shoot through nano-laminate with enough beam weapons but we haven't seen an upper limit yet. Not necessarily. Remember in Destiny (I apologize for making you remember destiny) when Shinn managed to kick off Justice's leg off? This implies that the frame of a mobile suit with PSA is still vulnerable to mechanical torque. You can't put holes in the armor but you can pull the limbs out of their sockets with enough force.

Other than that, they can keep battering the SEED suits until the PSA drains their batteries. Granted, this doesn't work when you bring neutron-jammer-cancellers into play but not every mobile suit has those even into later CE.

Both Flauros and Barbatos are equipped with Gamma nanolaminate weaponry (and in this case, the railgun was equipped with Gamma Nanolaminate rounds), it was specificially designed to destroy Nanolaminate armor. A direct would probably damage to phase shift armor. Beam weapons would also do the same as uses a similar principle.

The Destiny's leg (especially around the joint) looks like its being shattered/sheared by the force of the IJ kicking its leg off. We know beams make clean cuts, but note how the dismembered leg from the Destiny has a jagged edge and shrapnel around it. The laser blade may have made the first incision through the armor but the force of the kick did the rest.

Seriously though, that part is where it just broke the show for me. Like, I'm comparing it to the Tryon 3 fight from BFT where the asspulls (namely, the Tryhards surviving that finishing move despite being frozen) just completely put me of the rest of the show. It was one of those moments where the plot did backflips for the protagonists benefit and I'm just left with this feeling like they don't deserve to go further.

Seriously, those workers thought they were being given those weapons by Kudelia. Gjallarhorn made it so that would happen. Why the fuck can't they use that to completely discredit her already weak case. Plus the shit with the snipers.
