0083 is one of the best Gundam anythings IMO.

It's strengths lie in its Top Gun interpretation of the Gundam franchise. Mechanical porn, gorgeous visuals, action movie plotlines combined with its military base setting and melodramatic romance.Legitimate storyline flaws crop up towards the end concerning continuity and character motivations, keeping it from achieving a perfect narrative. Despite this, its strengths vastly overpower any weaknesses it has. Gundam 0083 is a monumental piece of 80s Gundam production, a solid 8/10 by any standard and I think something that appeals to both Gundam fans and non-fans alike.
