Gwad combining mecha can be so hit and miss.

This one is particularly bad since it appears to be just two units sticking really close, which utterly negates their individual movement advantage. One appears to be more armored tho, making it easier to tank shots- And I assume they also gain enhanced firepower

so 5/10, seen better gattai sequences. The mask alone is nearly worth a point.

I like that rotating shot, reminds me of Dancouga.

I must admit to pull this form both pilots need a lot of synchronization, it's both tricky and dangerous. One wrong move and both will be caught with their pants down. None of that autopilot stuff, we talk pure skill.
I imagine the unit in the front leads and the back one follows. With this kind of proximity split second reaction time difference can make or break a maneuver.

How and when they got the idea for this configuration however I leave to your imagination.
