in raw potential compared to Mika yeah, but both of them haven't done jack this season. hell Takaki had more character screen time and development than most the main cast and he fucked off.

We KNOW he's Gaelio. IBO hasn't exactly been the most difficult show to figure out. Every single thing they've tried to play off as a twist or mystery is figured out pretty much immediately and long before the show reveals it.

Gaelio's development certainly has made him an interesting character to watch over time. So i can certainly see why people are invested in him.

It's like watching Garma come back from the grave for revenge on Char with an awesome Gundam and actual piloting skills.

He has more substance than Mika.

Mika has no value as a character because he has no motivation or intentions. Even though Gaelio has done nothing but chat with another minor character we have a grasp on what motivates him and his general goal because of where the last season left off on.

Mika is literally nothing but style. He's a one trick pony that goes "it's killin time" when the plot needs to move on past some sort of conflict. Even Hush has more substance than him.

That's pretty much what it is for me. Not being a fan of Tekkadan as they got more bloodthirsty near the end of S1 and not being a fan of McGillis, I found myself rooting for Galli Galli even though I knew he had no chance because he was notGarma.

But S2 has given him a chance to come out on top. And while I'm sure he'll get dicked over somehow, at least there's a shot.

Feel like the next episode is going to determine a whole lot in how the show inevitably treats his character throughout the season now that he's confronting his nemesis early.

If he keeps his cool he could become something quite special, but if he impulsively takes risks like Gaelio originally did it could spell another season of suffering for him.
