Oh please, IDW's Magnus is terrific. He's both a perfectly serious and legit leader that retains his G1 dynamic with Rodimus while also expanding him to have a comedic side without it feeling like a huge stretch and he got a real solid character arc to boot. Hell, his design is solid and doesn't deviate much from the classic and they even use the robot-wearing-robot gimmick, IDW does good work bro.

The old G1 Ultra Magnus toy is a power suit for a white repaint of Optimus Prime.

IDW ran with this and went with the idea that Magnus has been a long string of various little guys wearing the same super-suit. This is the current one.

Megatron's old Tech Spec, because of some poor wording, claimed he had the ability to link up to a black hole to use antimatter as a weapon: it was supposed to be that he could use it to power his arm cannon. The old Marvel comics went with the idea and gave Megatron the ability to project antimatter as a kind of black cloud that would come out of his eyes and kill people.

In this scene he's just gotten the ability and he's about to use it to kill all of the members of the Decepticon Justice Department while committing suicide in the process. He kills them all, but survives. The reason he's so pissed is because he'd managed to not kill anyone for a while now and he was really trying to keep that streak going.

G1 Ultra Magnus is a poor leader but reliable middle manager.

Car Robot/RiD is a jealous brother of Optimus Prime.

I think in Dreamwave he was also a brother hence the white Optimus body.

IDW and Transformers Prime versions has him as a strict commanding officer who will be constantly reminded he is not as strong as Prime.

I'm hoping for either Star Saber (For how much shitshattering it would do for Cybertron) or Hound (For how out of left field it would be). If this is related to IDWverse then most of the choices are kinda backtracking (Wouldn't want to remove Ultra Magnus/Megs from the Lost Light, same with Arcee from Prime's crew. Thunderwing Shockwave and Unknown Evil shit's Galvatron yo are all dead, and Primal's a literal who in universe.

You can find some if you go looking on google. There's a lot, but the basic structure is:

The Transformers (2009)
Robots in Disguise (2012) and More than Meets the Eye (these two run concurrently and cross over frequently)
At issue 35 or so, RiD is rebranded into a continuation of The Transformers mostly due to the new cartoon using the name RiD.

Around issue 40 of The Transformers and MTMtE Combiner Wars happens, and later on some more crossover arcs start happening. I don't know since I'm not quite caught up yet.
