That does coincide with the rumor that Tzachor didn't want to do the Legendary Battle but was forced by Bandai and the marketing to do it. Hence the rushed sloppy nature of it.

If' you're talking about MMPR season 2 they'd win since they used Zyu2 footage which was original footage specially made for Power Rangers. So it doesn't technically count as Sentai footage.

Because the effort needed to go into a game like that wouldn't be worth it for a franchise like PR which isn't a big seller anymore.
PR is super niche. The amount of children in the target demographic who would want that wouldn't be enough. The periphery demographic who would want it would still be too low for any publishers or developers who would make a good game in that style to care. Not to mention that if it were aimed at the periphery demographic or nostalgia fags in general it would end up a mess.
Too many things would play against it becoming a reality.

It's wasted potential. It could do lots of things to expand and flesh out the PR universe with none of the limits PR has(not only sentai footage) with the only loss being the action sequences. Instead, they chose to make it MMPR centered. Pink also became too much suit porn.

The main comic is nice, Tommy, Trini and Billy have good characterization (the other three are too functional to Tommy though, except that Zack issue) and it doesnt get as edgy as some people claim it does(it's not as lighthearted as the show, sure, but it doesnt go the opposite way like the new movie might do), it knows how to balance character arcs and action, more than some Marvel/DC titles even.
The new twist was unnecesary imo, but at the same time it's nice that the writer is exploiting the fact that he's not on the same continuity as the show. So yeah, it panders to nostalgia by being MMPR based but it tries to do something about it.
The Goldar mini story in the annual was nice and did add to the lore, Pink arguably does the same thing too.

Tensou's design is relatively tame and is evocative of contemporary tech.

Datas is...goofy even for PR standards. A walking human sized arcade machine with big anime eyes. And Megaforce/Tzachor doesn't have the wit to subvert it like RPM would have.

That said, I don't see why they couldn't have used Datas Hyper.

I actually think Tensou's a pretty neat design, no superfluous lights, bells, or whistles, it looks like it was made strictly for function, hence the head looking like webcams.

Even it looking kinda like Wall-E isn't as goofy (or rather the same kind of goofy) as a big dude-sized arcade machine with arms and legs, and you could argue that it looking like that is more palpable to the global audience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still sort of confused as to why they made that choice to make a completely original CG character and then not bother to edit stuff like "Landick Gosei Great/Hyper Gosei Great" from the cards then STILL say "Land Gosei Great!/It's the Ultra Gosei Great card!"

This x100. The 5 inch line is the perfect scale for PR. It's compatible with tons of monsters, vehicles, accessories, and even playsets. Add to that the fact that the ongoing main line is 5 inch and finally giving us a healthy assortment of villains again. Lastly there's the matter of space. Displaying even half of the 100+ rangers is going to be a challenge for many @ 6.5, whereas 5 inch would make it much easier.

It's a little early to ask this, but what's everyone's preferred season after Ninja Super Steel? Zyuohger or Kyuranger?

Should we keep skipping seasons? Having not seen any of it, Kyuranger would be a good way to mix things up after eight seasons of 6 Ranger teams (Dino Charge was pretty much one too).

But if they reeeeeally wanted to, there's a good opportunity to do a Super Megaforce crossover. Plus red bird heroes with wings and shit are badass.
