Not constantly, not inherently, but quite often is how I'd put it. There's certainly plenty of /m/ content if you look into it, but that content isn't always right in your face in the shows.

Superheavy Samurai are pretty /m/ as well as an archetype I enjoy messing around with. They're pretty straightforward and have a few fun gimmicks.

Raid Raptors are also a lil' bit /m/. Satellite Cannon Falcon in particular comes to mind.

Shun's shtick was only cool the first couple of times.
Supposedly he mellows out before leaving for synchro but act with the same attitude after that as well. He receive the same attention like Crow did, "Someone is good? He must be Academia", at least before being out-Crow-ed by Crow himself.
Every time he duels he sprouts the same shit about Academia, Muh Resistance, Muh Nakama. That was cool for about the first 3 times he did it but after that it's tiring and annoying. Satellite falcon had a nice attack animation but that's it.
He acts like an asshole all the time but then suddenly mellows out again because he suddenly remembers he loves children.
The fact that he carded innocents as well but they let it slide while seeking retribution from turncoat enemies that did is also annoying.
The cherry on top is that during the whole show we are led to believe he turned like this because they kidnapped his sister but in the end we learn that not only was he like this before the invasion but acted like an asshole to his sister as well and talked her down when the only thing she wanted was to be independent.

The biggest problem with the market is that a lot of people ended up buying out whenever a hint of legacy support is spoiled without knowing how good the support actually is (as 9 out of 10 times the legacy support is terrible). Using the example of Blaus the moment Sonne Blaukluger was revealed Galaxy Blaukluger and some of the Blau cards shot up in price (despite a reprint was announced for Galaxy)

Well, the $300 ones are usually SP alternate art cardboard waifus aka collector bait. As far as $40 card goes unfortunately that happens with Vanguard very easily (and frankly most Bushiroad games in general) since unlike Magic/Yugioh/Pokemon having "generic staples that most decks can use", cards in Vanguard is tied to specific Clans and you basically have no choice but to run certain cards
