Drago Knight Hunter is really boring. Especially the Fang part. Ex-Aid's balance is clearly poor due to that giant piece of plastic around his head so all he can really do is pose and let the CG do the rest. The other Rider weapons are honestly kind of lame.

Drago Knight Hunter really is a poorly designed form. The weapons are just a bunch of pieces of plastic directly attached to the suits, so they're not very dexterous. The suits themselves are too cumbersome for close up team play. And to top it all off, it doesn't even look that good.

I feel like this is the first episode where Ex-Aid slowed down. Up to this point its been like all action.

Here's how the Rider design process typically works. These days, generally, the Riders are designed first. How many Riders there are gonna be, what they look like, what kind of powers they have, that's basically some of the first things they come up with. In the cases where there are more than two or three Riders, they also decide which ones will get center stage and will basically be the figureheads of the series. In the case of Gaim, while it was decided that there were gonna be many Riders, there were four "main" Riders who were gonna get most of the spotlight. These Riders were Gaim, Baron, Ryugen and Zangetsu. It's no coincidence that these four were the only Riders in the show who had more than one form; all that stuff was decided on long beforehand.

Riders like Knuckle and Gridon are tertiary characters who aren't really considered a primary focus. Thus, they never get more than one toy each, which means they also only receive a single form in the entire show's run. The reason Knuckle doesn't have any forms other than Walnut Arms is because no other forms were ever designed for him originally. He wasn't supposed to have anything more than that.

Knuckle's Jimber Arms was only designed for his gaiden. The concept and design didn't exist prior to then.

By that point, the plot was a race between the Takeru and the Ganma for the Eyecon and it was getting to its final phase. The reveal that the Ganma empire itself didn't care for the Eyecons and it was just an Alain plot didn't come until later. Heck, by that point, they hadn't even mentioned the Ganma emperor yet.

Then after that, we got the reveals that Alain although part of the royal family wasn't leader of the Ganma, and that the other high ranking Ganma didn't care for the Eyecon. Yeah, at that point, we didn't know what the Ganma empire itself wanted - that only comes in episode 20. But those reveals themselves also were plot and they were done through several episodes.
