Bubuki Buranki, which goes by some silly BBK/BRKI name, or something like it as well. I've just finished watching the third episode. It's pretty decent. Not fantastic, no real major selling points, but no major missteps either and it's developing a pretty interesting world without laying on any exposition too thick. The first ten minutes are really the best part so far. I dunno that it's mech of the year material though. The only other shows I've seen are season one of IBO and Macross Delta though, so I wouldn't be the best placed to judge regardless. I'd have said Delta was great after three episodes, but then it got progressively worse to the point I ended up dropping it about episode 22, so it's not like a good or even decent start is indicative of a whole.

Agreed. I'd even go as far as to claim it's the best not just of this year, but the best of many years back.

Unpopular opinion here, i think aldnoah competes. but its close. The mechs sound more heavy in this show however, i will give it that.
