Eva unit height is indeterminate. There was never an official definitive height and at best the estimations are taken relative to other objects within the show or whatever video games assigned it. However, doing this yields various results. One relative estimation from the show has placed it at over 4x the height of picture you posted. The 40m estimation is actually one of the shortest ones.
