Reminder that they did nothing wrong.
>>15002756
except for falling for the obvious Meijin trap like a pair of chumps
>>15002760
And getting super serious about a game to the point they saw themselves as soldiers.
>>15002766
bullshit
that was just another nifty approach
hell, most likely anyone else would have to do the same if they don't have access to the plavsky bullshit almost everyone else began to shat everywhere by the finals
>>15002760
plot armor
>>15002766
gunpla is freedom
>>15002771
> most people would act like soldiers when playing a game
Bullshit yourself. They might act like professionals but that's not the same thing.
>>15002766
Except that in the very next tourney everyone and their dogs was playing like its the most serious shit ever, even the protagonists
>>15002772
You mean the same plot armour that meant two separate opponents failed to notice the army men while someone only half watching the fight from up in the stands immediately saw them? Yea, they had some plot armour themselves. So does everyone in fiction despite people only complaining about people who won having it.
>>15002778
That doesn't make them right. It makes the next show just as wrong.
>>15002778
There's got to be SO MUCH MONEY IN THE GAME.
This is why the entire series pisses me off, it's such a business and there are little boys that want to research the development while also stopping some kind of evil plan the series tacked on at some point, and Reiji's agenda is to make everyone have fun HIS way.
>>15002756
>show criticizes the guys that had the most practical approach
>HUUR DURR ITS NOT GUNPLA SPIRIT
fuck this
not everyone likes fucking beamspam nonsense tactics
>Get to episode 14 of this shit
>The guys running the tournament send a gunpla hitman after Sei and Reiji
Nah, I'm done. Fuck this show, fuck anybody who likes this show, and fuck you, Sunrise. I can handle super fighting robots and autistic space magic, but toy hitmen is where I draw the fucking line.
>>15002809
fuck you
the rest is great
don't bother with try, it will give you cancer in the eyes
>>15002809
You haven't even gotten to the part whereSei's dad is both an undercover gunpla promoter and Bandai approved gunpla cop.
>>15002809
It's a silly show about kids playing a game, anon. It's your own fault for taking it so seriously.
>>15002809
As mentioned in the comic
Try is the clean, pure and tamed version of the 7th tournament, while the professional games are filled with people like the brothers.
>>15002756
In my opinion, the way they play was very interesting and tactical. As an opponent, perhaps I would have hated it, but as a viewer I think they were really good.
You can hear Meijin complaints in any game, like Street fighter. There is always someone who gets angry if you do not rush in full hot blooded more because you prefer to play tactical or defensive and punish the errors of your opponent.
The toy soldiers were pretty cool.
>>15002830
The hound was the sickest shit
>>15002771
It's fine to be tacticool, but they were rude cunts about it
>>15002756
>Reminder that they did nothing
Right, except job.
I'll never understand why people like them that much. They went to a tournament and applied maximum cheese in an effort to completely avoid a fight.
>>15002790
There's no prize money for winning.
>>15003281
>he cries whenever he gets sniped or det packed
>>15003281
They provided the most entertaining fight in the series.
>>15003302
There's got to be a hell of a pool in Vegas for it though.
>>15003281
Because OPERATORS gotta OPERATEhopefully the eventual MG GM Sniper K9 won't be P-Bandai
>>15003325
>The BF kits you actually want to have MGs getting MGs
Oh anon...
>>15003211
Fuck yourself if you can't handle trashtalk in a competition.
>>15003321
I don't know how anyone could think it was entertaining when you knew Ameijin was going to win because of plot demands.
>>15003543
because the destination isn't the point it's the journey
maybe Asian media isn't for you
>>15003321
It was entertaining to watch, but then the action stopped cold when they tried to sneak some bombs in.
>>15002790
>Evil plan
>It was just a big misunderstanding on the chairman's part
There was no evil plan in the first one.
>>15003612
His evil evil plan was to start selling gunpla knockoffs with shitty designs to compete with Namco Bandai.
>>15003618
Those designs were later used as training dummies.
>>15002756
They didn't anticipate lube
Those faggots should have known better.
I never got why Sei and Reiji got mad at Nils for wanting to know how the Gunpla battles worked. If it wasn't for inquisitive minds like that, there would never been a gunpla battle setup in the first place. Sei is too stupid to appreciate the math and engineering that went into making the very models that he is so fond of.
>>15002756
They are from the worst place of south america.
>>15002809
>but toy hitmen is where I draw the fucking line.
>he doesn't know about /toy/ posters getting into brawls over rare boxed items
>>15003809
It wasn't just for that, it was also because it seemed that Nils didn't care at all for the sport or Gundam in general, and just did it because he found a way to game the system. For Sei, Nils wasn't having fun, his opponents weren't having fun, and he wanted to show him the true power of having fun.
Which Nils realized afterwards, since he customized his Red Frame extensively because he liked it and hot-blooded skin-of-your-teeth battles are exhilarating.
>>15003809
They were just pissy because he wasn't taking the competition seriously, didn't he even try to throw the match?
Once Nils outs himself as a fellow crazy Gunpla fan, they pretty much immediately offer to help him -and- invite him to their regular orgies with Mao.
>>15003321
>MUH TACTICOOOOOOOOOL
kys, its a fucking robot fight, not an american sniper
>>15005330
Not that guy, but I agree they had the most entertaining fight in the series. Not so much because of the tacticool, but because of their crazy bag of tricks.
Sniping -> artillery dog -> boobytraps -> toy soldier bombers -> SURPRISE EXAM MOTHERFUCKERS
>>15003321
SBS/Fenice was better.
>>15005340
This.
>>15005340
>SURPRISE EXAM MOTHERFUCKERS
this was a mark-out moment
>>15002756
People didn't like them because of their tactics, they didn't like them because they acted like douchebags.
>>15005340
They would have won too if they had just decided to shoot Yuuki rather than chase him with a beam saber so they could do a humiliating finish.
>>15006113
I think they were out of guns at that point, but they did take their sweet time advancing on him when they only had a beam saber and a knife left.
>>15003547
That's hardly Asian media alone. That's media in general. How many people watching Return of the Jedi for the first time as it released do you think wondered whether Luke and co. would actually win? Or thought that Tintin might die or fail on his latest adventure?
>>15002766
EVERYONE took it super seriously. That was just their brand of serious, which is apparantly wrong because they didn't have an unhealthy obession with the stupid pieces of plastic themselves, but instead where military types that enjoyed having a war to fight without actually killing anyone.
>>15002772
>gunpla is freedom
Gunpla should only be the right kind of freedom!
>>15002756
>Gunpla is freedom!
>but you can't play milsim guys that's not freedom
It was plot armor, but it had to happen. They were too skilled.
>>15008759
> it wasn't plot armor when the arena fell their way by being full of hiding/sniping spots
> it wasn't plot armor when they were not only immediately able to get to a sniping position but plant a load of traps in the areas offering best coverage for shooting that spot along the way despite the tiny amount of time they had
> it wasn't plot armor when the army men they were using were invisible to their opponents despite someone watching from the back of the stands being able to spot them
> it was only plot armor when their opponent managed to bait them in to fighting within a part of the arena he knew held an undestroyed weapon comtainer
